Ha- one of the Ironmen I picked up had the exact setup. Had to hacksaw the bars off - bar tape had dried on so bad.

I picked up these two LeMond frames recently for next to nothing. The previous owner dug them out of a dumpster. The red is a Buenos Aires and the red/yellow one is a Maillot Jaune. Both are Reynolds 853. I picked up a carbon fork for the Maillot Jaune and plan on building it up. I plan on selling the other frame.
Someone told me triathlons have a "no drafting" rule. So I figure they make the cockpit so ugly, no one wants to be seen near you.

I got this '87 Trek 560EX by responding to a curb-alert on C-List. It had all of the 600EX components! I didn't get a good "before" picture, but it was missing the wheels and had hideous, crusty tri-bars mounted on Cinelli pursuit bars (26.4) jammed into the original stem. Swapped those for Nitto stem and bars, added Sun ME14a rims with Ultegra 9spd hubs and DuraAce indexed shifters. Hoping to sell it locally before Christmas.

tiredhands, nice curb find! Looks like you put a lot into it, but it was worth it.

On the other end of the restoration spectrum, yet still a nice ride, is this old Azuki 10 speed that I've simplified to take out on paths and easy trails. A friend of mine got it for free from a yard sale after it didn't sell and they were going to throw it out. I was going to pass, but it had alloy rims and an aluminum seatpost, so I tossed it together with some parts from the bin. It's a lot of fun on some easy singletrack.

Picked up this Fuji Roubaix over the weekend...for free.
Responded to an ad that had one picture of the bike, with the wheels off and it upside down on the side of a house.
Here she is:

Tha aero bars are coming off, and it will need a new chain and cables. But it's hard to beat the price.

Picked up this mid '80s Raleigh Capri last night. It's in rough shape, and not the greatest bike to begin with, but for $20 I figured it would be fun to clean up and put back on the road

I have mixed feelings about bringing this one home. It was found at the local co-op months ago and adopted at Christmastime, a Swiss-made Condor ladies' 21" 3-speed. It has 700C alloy wheels and a Sturmey hub. Missing the handlebars and grips. Priced at $30, it was considered to be very affordable by Santa. We don't need this bike. My wife already has a ladies' Sports that she does not ride in addition to her other bikes that she does not ride. I have plenty of bikes of my own. We don't have the space to spare for this one, but it's so cute and the details are so intriguing that I could not resist, and I would really like to find it a nice home.
But first I'm going to test out the wheels on my Pro frameset to see if it is path-racer-worthy. If so I can build new wheels for that bike. If we decide to keep this one for my wife I can strip the small Sports in order to use the parts on other bikes (bars and grips on this one, later alloy sidepull calipers and levers on my Sports that has those parts in steel, rear Sturmey hub to rebuild on 700C for the Pro, etc.).

That is a sweet looking Condor, and for $30 too! I love the chain guard - are the fenders chromed steel?

I trashed picked one of those last year. It is a really nice neighborhood bike and I was able to fit a set of super wide 700x48 tires on it. It became of the rare 'keeper' bikes that have come into my orbit over the past few years.
