Thanks it had a ton of that greasy fluffy gunk on, so a lot of cleaning to get to the nice bike underneath. Got it on CL @ $185. I'd probably keep it if it were not so tall.

Just picked up a 1982 Takara Competition. Its in typical neglected shape, but the paint is pretty good, and it has a Tange Champion #2 frame.

Got to love this lever set up... but I can use those flat bar levers on another project.

Actually a disappointment compared to my 1000 bonded aluminum and 2100 carbon bonded to aluminum lugs.

What size seatpost does this take?

Did you clean that up, or was it in the dumpster in that condition?

The Trek? That's as-found, took the photo after loading it into the car this morning. The seller said he may have put a couple hundred miles on it since buying it new, and I'm inclined to believe that based on the condition.

Great find on that Trek! Wow!

Picked up an XS 1992 Paramount Series 70 MTB, not exactly a deal for sure. But with a nice Tange Prestige frame, and built by Panasonic, why not? I needed a nice XS frameset to build a bike for my wife.

This makes 3 1992 Panasonic built Paramounts in the fleet: a series 5, a series 7, and this one. I also have a 1992 9C frameset in the to be built pile (Kestrel built). Now I need to find a series 90 in a medium size.

Nice headset!

The frame sticker I always like seeing:

All of the series Paramounts had curvy chain stays that year. They actually did it for several years, 90 KOM, 91. 92, 93 and probably more.

Nice score on the Paramount MTB, I'd like to try to find one someday.

Although the color scheme of the Trek differs from the 82 brochure, I'm pretty sure this is a 1982 750. Tubing is Reynolds 531/SL, and it came with a full Campagnolo NR group. The bike is in amazing condition, it looks like it was hardly ridden. Fits me perfectly. Here are the as-found photos, prior to cleaning and tune up.

No eyelets? No problem

Even the tires & tubes were pretty well preserved!

The rack will go, and I'll need to make plans to sell my TX300.
