Araya vs Wolber Rims

Hey guys, I got some free Wolber GTX 700c rims with tires from a destroyed late 80s Fuji Roubaix. I was thinking about swapping these to my Miyata 310 (currently has Araya 27" alloys). Anyone know if these are any good? Is there any benefit besides Presta valves and the range of tires I can run?

I LOVED the Wolber GTX rims on the Univega Super Special I used to have. I don't know if there's any benefit that would be worth the trouble of building up a pair of wheels with them, however.

Standard Arayas are single walled and the GTX are double walled. Better
protection against pot holes and such. Off course there are different types
of Arayas and some are better then the GTX, but they aren't that common.

Will the brakes still reach? If so, I'd attempt the change.

Pretty easy decision, in my view. If your brake reach, go for the Wolbers.
Hang onto the Aryas, as they're nice tires for bikes that can only handle 27's.

If by "rims", the OP means wheels, then I'm with Robbie.

Yup sorry about the terminology slip - full wheels. I'm going to test-fit and see if the brakes reach.
