What Benotto did I buy?

I have purchased from a guys front yard a Benotto ten speed. It has down tube shifters, 27" wheels and a strong aluminum rack on the rear. It also has Raleight 165mm cranks. I paid $10.. I wondered if anyone would be ablke to tell me how to find out about the bike. I am especially interested in changing the crank arms to 170 or 172.5 mm if I can but wouldn't know what works. What are the specs for the bottom bracket. This isn't a cotterless crank. Thanks for any info you would be able to provide. Wardie

how to identify the Benotto?

Isn't there some distinguishing features or a location where a serial number can be found to help identify the Benotto? I don't have any pics but could take some Tuesday night. Anyone lend a hand here? I am trying to find out if I can use this bike reasonably well for touring since it seems to have a sturdy rack on the back. Wardie

Bennotto frame numbers where?

I looked and can't find the frame numbers. Not on the bottom bracket or drop outs? Any other places I should look?

Bike has downtube shifters 27" Normandy wheels and a strong aluminum rack. Just trying to decide how good the tubing is? Wardie

How does the rack attach to the frame? How many water bottle braze ons? Do the dropouts have fender stay attachment holes?

btw - I got a benotto the other day. Round, red and satiny...

Benotto rack

The rear rack bolts to the seat tube. There are no water bottle braze ons?
