Nope, it is a NOS S.R. that I picked up at the LBS. Makes me sick to think that I sold off my other NOS SR lever. Who would have known I would have located a match for it three months later?


Would a 22" fit you? The shorter versions are slightly less common, but they exist.


I didn't even know they existed until I saw them at the LBS a few months ago. Do you know anything/have anything on them? Been curious since I picked them up. Been fantasizing about using them on one of the lugged '80s Schwinn Superiors.

That case used to have nicer stuff in it then it does now :(:

Is that a zeuz rear derailleur with the drillium? I'd like to get a complete 70s zeus groupo, but I see the stuff is pretty pricey. Just for my love for the spaniards I guess! You certainly got a lotta stuff, I'm a less is more sorta guy, don't like owning things I can't be using, I'll have to get some photos of my small but loved pile!

If I had a shed like that, I would never want to leave - except to ride.

Nothing, let me repeat, nothing I have strewn around between the attic, garage, shed, and workroom, compares to the collection my young friend from FL has managed to collect!

Besides, the dump has been really dry this entire year. I did haul home a Raliegh Woman's Sports last week, but not much else to talk about all year. :mad:

Here are a couple of shots of my garage, or rather, my half of the garage on a dreary, rainy day in San Diego. The Motobecane mountain bike buried under the ebay box collection belongs to my son, who has a car and a girlfriend. The red Schwinn Sprint is being tuned up for a friend. He got it for $40, he got his money's worth and not much more.

Zeus 2000. Last I saw though, individual parts were running reasonably cheaper then Campagnolo.

I love oogling at individual components, but I love using them just the same - that's why the case does not have as many RD's as it used to.

Hence the title. When I'm bored - or down - I simply visit the shed. Cheers me up.

Not really showing off as much as trying to cheer myself up about my prior accomplishments (the bikes). See, prior to taking these photos, I was drilling - yes, drilling - the Campagnolo Veloce sealed BB out of that Bianchi Alloro. I thought extracting stuck aluminum seatposts was a bad job - this is 10 times worse. That BB has me on the brink of defeat, but the machines in the shed are my inspiration to plow ahead.

I've long been looking forward to seeing your Paramounts' lair. You wouldn't happen to have a closeup of that delicious pegboard of cranksets, would you?

I'm melting at that red Paramount. Melting.

Don't know a bit about those CLBs, except I saw a pair on ebay, fell in love, but wouldn't spring for the shipping from Australia. I'm a damn fool, I know. I just have fantasies about them squeezing shut over a pair of VO Zeppelin fenders.

Funny - I never did see that auction.

If it makes you feel better, there "ain't no way" that they'll clear the Zeppelin fenders. Note the unnecessarily narrow clearance on the caliper to the right (the front caliper). It'll clear a Bluemels Lightweight fender, but nothing more; not even a Popular.

I have a similar collection....but with cameras (35mm, medium format, large format :) )

Down the street where my wife grew up there is this little lady who owns a total of 107 cats. People call her the Cat Lady and she's got the same sickness you do, but I'd come over and hang at your house any day, while crossing the street to go by hers.

Very impressive collection, I see so much in what appears to be my size... I am so jealous right now.
