Will this crank come off this chain ring?

I would like to hang this chain ring on the wall, how can I get the crank off and not damage anything?

I don't think so. The crank is swage fit to the ring, so you'll have to cut of the swaged part...and it won't go back together.

Thanks Luker, I will hang it on the wall as is then :)

Great plan to keep it intact. There are only a limited supply of those old Schwinn cranks made with the A S & C O cut out.

It would make a really cool doorknob.

A pic of the backside would help.

Maybe you could heat the ring and hit the crank hole with a CO2 fire extinguisher?
Else drill out the back side.

I would soak it overnight in oxalic, clean it up, polish it with NevrDull. It will look awesome.
