penny farthing handlebars
So me and a friend just picked up and old Schwinn tandem that we are restoring and loving riding around on, but me knees occasionally hit the handlebars on the rear now. So I am looking to get some handlebars that at least resemble those on the penny farthings seen in the pick. Something that will raise up over my knees and then drop back down a little.
So the question is how the heck do I get some of these bars. Does anyone make them now for cheap. I am not looking to pay $50 for some replica bars or anything. I mean cheap cause it's a pretty cheap bike two friends want to have fun on without spending money, ya know.

They won't look exactly like that, but Velo Orange might have something up your alley.

If I'm not mistaken, you don't normally turn as sharply on a penny-farthing as you do on a safety-bicycle. So I suspect the handlebars would still hit your knees. Consider some straighish bars with a rise, rather than a funky shape.

Cman those bars do look like they would work well, what are they?
And Stephen They are for the rear of the tandem, so they don't turn at all.
