Any Info on Victoria Werke

There was a free Victoria Werke bike for free nearby. It looks like a 70's road bike with drop bar and down tube shifters. I googled the name but very little info on the web. A German bicycle company and that about all I could find. So I decided to let it go. Does anyone know anything about their road bike? Did I miss an opportunity of a life time for not picking it up?
