Looks to me to be a 1986 Peleton
It anything it more closely matches my '89 Tempo ot '88 SS. The Peleton had a crowned fork. The blades very clearly slip into a lug and the Peleton is a Panasonic built frame so it has its serial number stamped into the lower head lug. Alot of the features clearly point to it being a Schwinn. It has dropouts that are identical to my old Peleton, Tempo, SS and Paramount. The 'wraped' seatstay caps are identicle to the Peleton, SS and Tempo as well. As a reference, my '87 SS has identicle frame features with a I623651 serial number on the BB. |

It's not a 1988. '86 or '87 maybe.

it doesn't quite match my Tempo, the fork is different and it has 3 cable guides on the top tube. Also, look at this guys feedback, in the past couple months, he has sold about a dozen bikes "for a friend" that all seem sort of pieced together

Oh, you did? The pics aren't clear to me, why I asked obviously. No need to be a little punk.
Looks like I did open my mouth too quick though - it is not a lugged crown. Feel free to take your potshots in response - I deserve it this time :o -Kurt |
