looking for legnano decals

hi,

anybody have a source for legnano downtube decals? occasionally they pop up at ebay, but not very often. i'd prefer something from the 60s-70s and white writing on red (not black). thanks.

Greg Softley makes professional quality decals for restorations. If he doesn't have any on his eBay store, he may well already have the art to make some.

thanks. the hot dog is what i am after. i realize now that i should have posted my first decal choice, but i was at work and the pic was at home. any chances you have the version with the world champ flag in the middle? see the attachment for a reference.

i already pinged Greg and he said he would be making some soon, but wasn't sure exactly when.

No, haven't seen those before. What I have is what I've had made. Anyone with some computer skill can create the art and get them run off at a sign shop. Quality depends on the quality of the operator there.

Here's an Italian who has some originals on ebay... maybe he can find what you need?

DOWN TUBE and HEAD BADGE art.

Just finished some scratch repro's for my '73 Leg. I drew them up in illustrator. These are my personal work using photos of actuals. I do not need or expect credit for any of them. I just know how hard they are to find, and how frustrating it is to even find graphics that are high resolution enough to reproduce anything that looks decent. The files themselves seem to be too big for me to insert in the post so if you want a set to have produced locally contact me at:

Hilly2336@yahoo.com

I will send you a .PDF of the graphic as well as the actual .AI file if you wish to modify it at all in illustrator. The cool thing about these drawings is that they are one in "vector" format. This means that no matter how much you enlarge or shrink or otherwise modify the images they will stay the same resolution. Whereas a JPG, BMP, or GIF will become pixelated and rough, otherwise known as "rasterized".

I really wish I had a printer that would do White and metallic ink! I'd be set then!

BTW I contacted JR at velocals.com about a full set of resto decals. His prices are VERY reasonable for the amount of work I'm sure it takes him to generate a set from scratch. He seems very helpful and professional. I'll post more when the actual products arrive.

P.S.: Dbakl, that is beautiful work on the WCS scroll! I just couldn't get the shading to look quite right on the rolls.

The old ALPS 5000 could, but its obsolete and runs on Mac OS9.

Thanks. The secret is having a good photo, squaring it up and correcting in Photoshop, then place in Illustrator as a template and redraw it BIG!

Hey Guys!

I've been gone awhile so I thought I'd just check back in. Lately I've gotten a few e-mails requesting the drawings mentioned above. I still have all of the Artwork files ready to go and available to anyone who asks!

Cheers!
