What do you think? I was thinking about offering 150 for it but I'm not sure. I'm 6'1'' 35 inch inseam and normally I wouldn't get anywhere near a frame this big but the top tube is apparently only 57cm. The frame color looks amazing and the part selection looks good.

go see how it feels. if you like the way it fits and rides, I'd say its worth up to $200(to me anyhow)

I'm your height and have a 62cm Le Tour that fits me well. Give it a shot, it is within range of fitting.

200 huh? The guy seems dead set on getting 250 for it. Seems to me it should be had for 200 or less. I dunno though.

I have two questions.

1.) Can anybody date this bike?

2.) How does this bike's Shimano 105 components differ from more modern Shimano 105 components? Would the transition to STI shifters be tough?

Thanks!

Derailers shouldn't be an issue but if you want to go with brifters, that will probably be an issue as the dropout spacing will most likely be too narrow for a modern wheelset (you'll pretty much need to go 9 speed). You can pick up some STI downtube shifters or barcons if that is what you are considering.

I found Shimano Sora ST-3300 Brifters which are 7 speed/double. I've read online that they work perfectly when you're converting these old downtube setups. I have to see this bike in person.
