A Semi-Drew Huffy Aerowind Frame available for a pack of smokes.

From Huffy! Purveyors of fine cycling goods. Incredible aerodynamic frame. Look at the pics and notice the aerodynamically shaped tubes. That is aerodynamic! Also notice the integral kickstand bracket. The kickstand itself has been chopped off! I did not do this! The decals have been (un)professionally removed! I also did not do this!

That being said, the bicycle came with a whole host of very odd components (aerodynamic components!), most of which were discontinued shortly thereafter! I do not have the bottom bracket for the bike. I DO still have the (AERODYNAMIC!!!) seat post though, and that is included! I will even show you how the seat post works! I'm pretty sure every Aerowind ever made came in gold, and this is no exception, sorry. The frame is about 56cm center to center, 58 center to top. It even has horizontal drop outs so you can build it into a single speed.

First person to bring me a pack of (unopened) cigarettes gets it. Completely serious.

I sold a complete Aerowind to a guy in FL for $138 plus shipping. Heavy and save for the oddball parts not all that impressive.

I noticed that on CL. What is up with the bottom bracket shell? I thought maybe that was for a 1 piece crank, but Aerowind images I saw online show an actual 3 piece crank, on a Huffy no less.

I'm headed back to Chicago from Indiana tomorrow; if I thought it would last until then, I'd offer him 2 packs (cuz smokes are half as much in the Hoosier state). I'm sure this will turn up as a $300 single speed by the end of the week

And it will be transformed into an exotic Italian track bike.

Huffy used a Shimano Group called Adamas on the bike. Three piece cranks with a one piece sized bottom bracket with the crank arms attaching to a 1982 version of Octilink on the bottom bracket. Here are a couple of pictures of mine. Roger

Here is the nicest looking Aerowind I've seen. It was at one time owned by a forum member. May still be.

Is that one Ben's old bike (sonatageek)? Those brake hoods are a trip.

I think this Aerowind frame needs to be an entrant in the 2nd annual VeloCheapo buildoff.

Nickname it "Smokin'", small cigarette purse/pouch for a seat/tool bag, frame pump painted to look like a cigarette, I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

I'd take it on, but it's too far away, probably too tall, I don't smoke, and that bottom bracket housing on it scares me for some reason. But then I do have a set of Scott aerobars I could attach to it that came on a freebie parts bike....

hmmm, does anybody down around Chicago ever get up to Milwaukee**********
