Huh? Campy stuff on a Hi-Ten bike? Perhaps its a bottom level campy. I really know nothing about campy components.
I wouldn't spend $300 on a bike that has a Hi-Ten frame when I regularly find butted cromo for $100 and less. But then again, I may be completely simple and missing something here. I'm still a relative neophite and I admit it. Edit to add: Wait...are those brifters I see on it? If so, that might explain the price. Brifters are pricey. |
A month ago he was asking $400 for it. A week ago he was asking $350 for it.
|
he said that $300 is it.
no lower. how did you know? you're from mi..........? |
the frame is crap, but maybe worth it for everything else.
|
Those parts are bottom line items also. Not worth $300 IMO.

What's this thing worth then?
|
If the ergo levers are properly functioning its a $250-ish bike.
Look at it from a parting out perspective. What can you get for that bike parted out? Conservatively: F&F: $50 to the fixie crowd. Wheels: $75 w/ tires Mavic rims and Campy cassette hubs Ergo levers: $75 FD: $10 RD: $15 Crankset: $25 Brakeset: $25 There's $275, conservatively, without accounting for other misc. stuff. |
Well, maybe the seller got his $300 because the ad has been deleted. If so, you will find a better bike anyway.
|
Parted out, yes, see my post in Vintage Value Inquiry.
Ergos $100. Wheels $100 w/cassette Now, you've got $100 to go with the Chorus crankset leading the way. You should be able to get the $100 The frame is the gravy, $30 to $50 to a hipster. |
