Seems like its miyata week here in C&V.. Thought I may as well add to the fray. Was a beat down '82 or '83 twelve hundred frame with a stuck seatpost that I picked up locally for $50. I knew that bare frames tend to be money pits, but stupidly I took it anyway. Lucky for my wallet Robbietunes hooked me up with some nice 600 tricolor bits, nice wheels, and some other parts, also tips on freeing the post. Plan on some black seat dye, black bar wrap and black cable housing tomorrow. So heres the pics..

Those are very nice bikes - I helped a friend build one up not too long ago, same color:

I thought the black cables/seat/wrap would look nice on the gold..

BTW are the rear dropout adjust bolts just regular metric bolts? If not, where do I get those? They didn't come with the frame.

Guys, riva did me a great deed, and he came by those parts through sheer great character and effort. He is proof of the BF kind of person we all kind of take for granted, but really hope for when we need assistance.

Eric, that 1200 is coming along great. When you described that seat post, I was sure it was toast. You saved it, in true C&V fashion.

If you want to swap saddles for a black one, maybe I can help, or I'm sure someone around there would be glad to trade for that red/black one.

Those rear dropout bolts actually insert from inside the dropout, and a spring goes between the dropout and the bolt head. Then, there is a cap nut that goes on the end that comes through the dropout.

I think Loose Screws or Alfred E Bike had some last time I checked. You can often find them on tossed out frames, too. Functionally, I think a metric bolt would work just fine. I've probably got a spring or two if you need them. Pay if Forward may have some.
