Twins Sons of Different Mothers...
Show us the twins....(BIKES, you pervs..:roflmao2:)
Paramounts come to mind most often when I think of folks with multiples of the same thing. I've got a few Ironman models, but they are not exactly twins.... Until Now: 1988 Centurion Dave Scott Ironman Carbon, which is a lot to put on a top tube. One is equipped with Campy, mainly Chorus where it counts, 8-sp Ergos. Two is equipped with Shimano 600 tricolor, 8-sp STI's. Both are pretty much 99% built with used stuff, frames/parts/assistance from BF members. So, let's see 'em. Prove they're not "re-do's" by showing both in a shot. And I think the album was Dan Fogelberg and Tim Weisburg. ^They both look awesome robbie.
Sadly, i can't join in this thread, unless someone sends me another steel allez! I like the blue and yellow tape mixed on the campy setup. Might have to steal the look. |

I'm not channeling the Doublemint Twins here. :p :D All mine are notably quite different.

I know from signatures that there are definitely some Paramount twins out there.....

can't get any photos but my '91 trek 2100 pro frame is identical to my '93 2300.. only the 2300 has "TREK" sorta engraved on the very top of the seat stay caps

That's the stuff....I know Kurt is lurking out there with some Paramounts, and I think OFG has a couple of close relatives.
Am I the only one who remembers the album Twin Sons of Different Mothers? Maybe that was during a break from my headbanging. A lot of that time is blurry still... |
"Am I the only one who remembers the album Twin Sons of Different Mothers?"
No way dude. I had it. Remember the photo of TW and DF? I believe the LP was titled correctly. So which one the CF Ironmen has your heart? Campy or Shimano? I really dig the wheels on the Campy bike. Lp One suggestion ----- back or silver on the H2O cage. :thumb: Lp |

Lp One suggestion ----- back or silver on the H2O cage. :thumb: Lp Campy is the current flame...BUT, I just decided a nice black Equation wheelset may look pretty darn good on that Shimano version, and the competition would heat up. With your FD, I'm on the way to full Chorus, which will make the head-head comparison of the 8-sp STI/Ergo's more credible. Thanks. I'm still looking for those Paramounts out there. Those chrome ones are bossicles. |

I'm trying to stay out of the perv dimension, but those Paramount/Waterfords kind of remind me of a mother/daughter combo.....

I don't have a picture of them together, since by the time the '83 Paramount was ready to ride, the '66 Paramount had long been in winter hibernation.

I got to thinking about the twins movie with Arnold and Danny DeVito. These two of my bikes kind of are like that. Litespeed Ocoee and Litespeed Vortex.

My pair of Stumpjumper Sports. I bought the silver one new in 1983 or 84. It was originally 15 speed with friction thumbshifters on bullmoose bars.
It's now a singlespeed. No kittens were harmed in this build. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2321/...ba1fcd40_b.jpg The black one was a beat-up thrift store find that has evolved into my commuter. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2334/...54265e6c_b.jpg |
