Hello wow great bikes here I'll make mine a mystry ;)

Might help the mystery if it didn't say 'Bianchi' on the brake-stay.

Posted these in another post, but...
Peugeot UO-8 (1972ish) with a 80's Suntour RD, unknown Shimano FD (came with it), and obnoxious as heck Simplex shifters. Also, a mid to early 60's Western Flyer 3 speed, now racked and fendered out and converted to a coaster brake rear. The front brake is just there to hold on the fender. Originally black with chromed fenders, the chrome was too far gone. |
|
well of course that Celeste paint screams Bianchi. but which one? how often do you see a brake bridge like that?

Hi Bianchigirll,
I know this thread isn't supposed to have 'words' - Sorry guys but I just can't help myself this time. The brake calliper is very interesting - looks like a Chorus calliper with a Cobalto blue stoned centre locknut. I do like the look. As for the Bianchi model - I thought X4's had black stays? Maybe I'm wrong. Why the Chorus calliper? Perhaps it's not the top of the line model. The calliper suggests that it could possibly be an '86 to '88 model. I'm guessing at a Super Leggara or perhaps a Mondiale. Whatever it is - I'm very impressed so far. Hope to see more of the bike soon. |
