I was one of the testers for the Imperial and they sent me a narrow model. I HATED it, I thought my but would fall off and I rode the thing a lot. I might try the standard B-17 Imperial and see how it does or I might have a saddle maker carve mine for me and see if it helps.
I really like the Specialized Alias and Toupe. Get the correct width.

I just bought a Terry Falcon and put 60 miles on it today on it's initial run. I think I'm going to like it. Not very C & V, though. My suede and my leather covered Unicantors are still a couple of my most comfortable saddles, preferable to my B-17, although I've never figured out exactly why.

I apologize to anybody who contacted me via PM for a pdf of the DIY saddle cutout pattern: I can't attach anything to a PM reply and can't find a "sent" record as to who I've replied to...if you want this *email* me (worthy2@earthlink.net) and I'll reply with the pdf attached.
For the record: I recommend using a sharp #11 Xacto blade and cutting a shallow initial cut to follow the pattern line. Then continue with deeper cuts, letting the blade follow the groove you established. This is safer and more controlled IMHO and might save your fingers.
Here's a pic of the finished cutout on my black B-17, so you can tell if it's the style you want to try beforehand. I also skived the edges and touched up with black dye.
