Holland -vs- Hollands
Sorry for being such a Doof....
Can somebody please confirm that these are 2 completely different makers? 1 in CA and 1 in MD right?
Experience/Opinions on Hollands please?
CR has very little and Sheldon's pages turn up nothing.... I thought that Holland were (high-end ultralightweight) production TIG welded Ti and Hollands were handmade steel....

Not to throw a wrench in things, but there was also one in England in the 50's and (I think) into the 60's. J.A.Holland, or Jack Holland (He started with J.A. and later went with Jack).

D'Ohh!! I forgot about that one Zorro... D'Ohh!!
I can rule this one out because I think it is Bill Holland: https://www.sandsmachine.com/bp_holnd.htm
And I think that the one I'm interested in is John Hollands: https://classicrendezvous.com/USA/Hollands_frames.htm
But I don't imagine there are many of these floating around and I am not sure if this (potential trade) is a good idea....

Bill Holland, the custom Ti guy, used to make steel frames as well. I have a beautiful one from circa 1990, painted by Joe Bell, with whom he has shared space for years.

jbonamici, That's good stuff!
Picchio,
I have heard that those were freeking gorgeous! Pics please!! We want pics!!
This one is definitely the other guy though as the downtube decal is "Hollands" and I think the fork decals/head badge state "Hollands Cycles" .... And now like an idiot I'm blanking out on which Reynolds decals are on the bike... I think "753" but I need to dbl check....
I am very surprised that nobody from C&V has posted one of these: https://classicrendezvous.com/USA/Hollands_frames.htm
They are either extremely rare or there just weren't many made at all; They are after all all handcrafted....Or, some collector may simply be hoarding them....
At stake in this trade are my 2 Nervex Pro Raleigh International's but I think that I'm going to go for it because he has the exact size I like and I have the 2 sizes he would like......
I suppose it's kind of stupid for each of us to hang on to a bicycle that doesn't fit us
EDIT: Just found this:
"One of the reasons 753 tubing is rare is because fewer then 50 frame builders were ever qualified to make frames with it because it could only be lugged with brazing temps of no more then 650 degrees; so Reynolds only sent tubing to those that had been qualified...."
