Woohoo! Way to hang in there, Brian. And thanks for that Sutherland's info, Charles. It does seem like matching up spindle to crankset is somewhat of a black art. FWIW, I've had various cranksets (Campy, TA, Stronglight, Sugino) on Phil Wood bottom brackets with unknown taper, and have never had an issue.
