seat post question
i have a a schwinn suburban 73' i think but not sure and it has an abnormally small seat post (I'm coming from riding newer road bikes not older ones so weird to me i guess) and wondering if anyone can point me to where i could find the size of it so i can replace it, with my new seat and i know leave it like it is blah blah blah but i cant handle the seat on long rides and making it lighter is another plus.

All of the Schwinn electro-forged frames (including your Suburban) used a 13/16" diameter steel seatpost:

Ok, now I will add my post question if y'all don't mind.
I am trying to fit a aluminum post from a mid 80's Fuji Allegro to a late 80's KHS Montana MTB that I'm turning hybrid. The post seems way tight so I'm wondering what size post the KHS would take. I really thought they would have been similar but I can only get the Fuji post in about 2 inches or so!

Sometimes you can turn the post over and use the end with the full diameter on top instead of the tapered end.
13/16" posts with standard size tops are readily available on Ebay.
