Fuji Pulsar

I have a Fuji Pulsar 27" Bike, Serial Number F6111957. Can anyone tell me how old it is.

I also need to know what the size of a Freewheel Wrench I need to remove the Freewheel, I have a broken spoke that I need to change.

Thanks All
Dan Martin

Looks like Pulsars were made in 1987 and 1988.

To remove your freewheel you're going to need an adaptor. To know which adaptor we'll need to know, at a minimum, what brand of freewheel. The previous post indicates it's probably a Shimano. You'll probably need a Park FR-1 to remove it. You'll also need a long 1/2 inch breaker bar and lots of muscle. Recommendation: take it to a LBS where you buy the spoke, and slip them a five spot to remove the freewheel. They have the tools and the experience to remove them without spraining a muscle.

The serial number indicates 1986 manufacture, so it should be a 1987 model.

I had one that was red w/navy lettering, and the F. on the fork uppers.

It was heavy but solid. I gave it away to my buddy as a first adult bike and he likes it.

A Big Thanks to all for your "Responses"
I now believe by Bike is a 1987, and I will need a Park FR-1 wrench with a 1/2" breaker bar to get the Freewheel off.

Thanks Again
Nad
