Bianchi..small frame, Quattro gruppo (lots of pics)

This was in the basement of my friend's apartment building. Missing a front wheel unfortunately, but otherwise looks fine. I have an old Mavic/Cyclone front wheel I'm going to stick on there.

What's the deal on this Quattro/Accushift group? Decent stuff? Mid-level?
What about the frame - I don't see a model name...

Im no expert but I have an accushift derailleur and I really like it. It shifts very crisp and quiet.Your shifters have the option of index or friction, they both work well. The bike should clean up well, its made in Italy, celeste in colour, and decent Columbus tubing. Thats a nice bike hope it fits. Bonne chance.

Unfortunately it doesn't...it will probably be a good fit for my girlfriend, though, or maybe another person I know...

It would be a good fit for ME!

I believe you have a late '80s Bianchi Quattro, or a Campione D'Italia. It looks like there's a decal on the top tube that says "Qu--" looks like it's torn off. I think it's a Quattro. See this:

I have an older lotus that has a suntour accushift group on it as well, and those downtube shifters look almost identical, especially the side markings. I rode it for the first time last night and was duly impressed. They are easy to adjust and shift well. Maybe Quattro was made by suntour?

Me, too. As a matter of fact, a find like this is a fantasy of mine. It would be fun to clean it up.

Nice find, OP!

You people that find little, high quality bikes are awful, but to be honest sometimes I feel that way about Celeste too. Other days I like it.

Wow, the condition it's in makes me sad. But it looks like it'll clean up nicely. Congrats...girlfriend is going to love you!

Hey, I wish it was bigger just as much as the smaller folks wish they'd found it! : )
I'll post some more pics when I get it cleaned up....I think she'll look great.

And it definitely is a 'Quattro', then. I didn't know that was the model - I thought it was some sort of decal from the gruppo...

Nice Bianchi and the Suntour Quattro system is quite nice, too. This will be a very fun bike when you get it cleaned and ready to ride.
Best Wishes
