Sham WOW!
|
Now, thanks for that. Just awesome!
|
Hah, thanks for the laugh. Should you post a video when you don't know how to pronounce the brands?
"Die-a-Compe" Those brakes hoods are more than hurting, those look like the ones Kurt had to surgically remove recently. |
5x2=10!!!!!
|
I think I saw that guy selling used cars down the street.

Bikemanforu pronunciation guide:
Dia Compe: die com-pee Sugino: sir-jee-no Araya: Ah-ray-ah -------------------------------------------- Bikmanforu frame nomenclature: Down tube = seat stay -------------------------------------------- The guy is priceless! |
haha! I admit mispronouncing dia-compe the first time I said it out loud, of course I wasn't screaming it on ebay.
|
He could have given some more information. Is it new or vintage? Where was it made? Are those authentic Sir Gino cranks?
|
What is this supposed to mean??
"Remember to keep your tires pumped up to max pressure all the time to reduce flats and to get better gas mileage" |
Ron Popeil's illegitimate son?
Wow, only $40 per tire! That's mounted folks. I gotta find his "al-freshco" bike shop. Maybe he can sell me a hand-hammered wok too. |

Anybody that uses the phrase "Old Skool" in their description of a bike is a moron.
|
This guy is priceless. We need to recruit him for C&V. He'll soon have a cult following.

"We're going to start at the back"...
then proceeds to start at the front. "a little bit of corros...err, oxidation" Shipping for $40? Good luck with that. |
It's over guys... We can all go home now (especially you Bigbossman)...... As a lowly flipper I can't compete against that grade of professionalism and I'm sure you can't either....... It's the end of an era...... The vintage bicycle market has changed forever and for good....
Fade to black......;) :roflmao: (On a serious note, I can't tell you how many guys like this have popped up on my local CL in the past 12 months. I give this guy credit for giving it a creative shot and like so many others trying to put some food on the table, but for the love of God that's sidesplitting....) Gosh darn you Otis, now I'm going to bookmark his videos!!!!! |
He's got a bike stand and a "shop" but he can't address cleaning up light rust and corrosi..err oxidation before trying to sell the bike....

Yeah he keeps stating "has rust" "as is" "corr..err oxidation" and then at one point he says it's really clean. I bet the bearings are freshly greased and adjusted too
|
Come on seriously! That fellow is great. I was cringing when the video started, but he's pulling it off in style.
I have a frame that was badly pinched in a work stand. I wish the previous owner had listened to Bikemanforu, and only clamped the seatpost. |

I suppose I've lived in NJ too long; his vernacular didn't sound all that odd to me. :o How exactly is Dia-Compe pronounced, anyway? I usually don't add the long e at the end. By the way, I generally pronounce Tange wrong: 'tanj' rather than 'tawn-gay', which I think is accurate.
Anyway, I'd personally prefer well focused close-up photos if I were bidding, but the guy was more honest about the condition than many other sellers of ebay auctions I've bid on and won, and even BFers I've traded with. |
