Any Info on Macario?
My purchase:
https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160321919080
* Does anybody know anything about Macario bikes?
* The seller didn't mention the tubing type and I don't see a sticker, so any guesses?
* I'm thinking about having it fully chromed. Any recommendations on places that chrome bike frames?
Thanks!

You might have a really nice frame. I have a Colombian bike that looks some like yours and have been very happy with it. You won the auction? Too bad that kind of frame didn't bring a higher price, and it sounds like you'll do something good with it.

You darn tootin! I've been looking for an off-brand but high quality frame to chrome and make funky but stay vintage. I have a 93 Viner and a 73 Holdsworth and the wife's 86 Bianchi that are classic Campy. I have been looking on Ebay at alternatives like Modolo, GPM, and Zeus (rare) for parts to go on it. Any recommendations would be great.
BTW: I wasn't disappointed that the frame sold for a low price

Nice bikes, they were handmade in Madrid. Its a spanish brand, there is a Perico Delgado model. This bikes were very popular in Spain, like razesa, zeus, orbea, otero,... before bikes were made in Taiwan.
I think my macario is made with reynolds 531 but i'm not sure, and zeus components.

Well, the olde Macario frame showed up yesterday and I must say that the workmanship is really excellent with a 2-windowed bottom bracket and long windowed spearpoint lugs. The chromed fork is in very good condition but the frame needs a complete redo. I'm going to look into chroming it so it blazes in the sun.
