I just placed a deposit with Tom Oswald for a custom frame with handcut lugs. He's not as well known as some other builders, and he doesn't build many bikes, but he's a very fine craftsman. It will take a while before my frame is done, but in the meantime I have a nice-shirt. There are some nice examples of his work on his website:

I'm building up my frame as a classic-style bike with a NOS 1993 8-speed Chorus group.

Neat video. He wouldn't break nearly so many blades if he didn't try to force them to cut on the push stroke, it's painful to watch and to hear. He's got filing down though. ;)
