Sturmey-Archer S5.1 - missing parts

I have acquired a 1979 SA S5.1 with nice chrome, but it's missing a lot of parts (oil port (curious hexagonal hole for that), non-drive side cone, locknuts, and whatever else goes over there, cog assembly, circlip, dust cover, and nuts, and, of course, indicator chain/spindle thingies).

Where is a good place to look for these parts?

Try Mike Stonich at Bikesmith Design. He has indicated that he has quite a number of parts for older SA 5 speed hubs available in posts on the Yahoo Geared Hub Bikes group linked to below in my signature block.

A good number of older SA hub enthusiasts are members too for those who are interested.

All your missing parts can be from a "donor" Sturmey AW.

Thanks tatfiend and choteau. I will contact Mark.

I hate to cannibalize an intact AW ... but I hadn't thought of that option. For five speeds, it might be worth it!

I just bought a SA5.2 and I know nothing about them except that they use 2 downtube shifters. I may need lots of help with it, but I hope not. It's coming from Hilary Stone in England and I probably paid too much, but I've wanted one for a long time.

Ooh. Mine was free.

But I have no idea if it works or how much it will cost to get it working. So we're even.

I'm thinking of just sending it to Mark and asking him to make it work in exchange for money. If he'll do that.
