I'm not in particularly a bianchi lover but the x4 is in my top 10 list of best looking frames. Like 2 weeks ago saw one at ebay.

from the pics, it's a repainted x-4.. depending on the year, it's SLX at the least or TSX if it's newer..

My size, somewhat nearby, and rare enough to make me think about it. However I already have a Super Leggera from the same year, and I doubt this would ride very differently. The first photo in the CL ad also makes me wonder if there might be a bent fork. I decided to pass, but still think it's an intriguing model.

Here is a site from a different owner that has an original advertisement with interesting background information on the X4: http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/my_bianchi/algentin.htm

it just might be at that. without the fancy Campi bits it is just another SLX Bianchi, and possibly one with a bent fork.

you have a '88 Super Leggera? they were nice bikes I would love to have another.

Is this an X-4? Perhaps not, but it looks a lot like one, doesn't it? Quite beautiful IMO.

it looks like one but is missing the X-4 mark on the brake bridge. the huge difference between a standard Mondiale bike and the X-4 was the pantographed group, and of course the paint. I am not even certain the X-4s were offered in markets outsode the US. this could simple be a Argentin commeratinve paint on a standard frame.

I would certainly bid on it if it was my size.

weird thing about that X4 is that the pantographing on the frame is in blue...supposed to be gold like the forks

Here is an X-4 in Chicago on the bay, but there is no X-4 on the brake bridge. I think it is an 87 frame though and should be a great rider at $400 or so. For $1500 for the F/F the seller should deliver it to your door in Limo!

Hello VG

I have one but it is storage in Melbourne Australia. I am happy to talk to you about it and make arrangements. I love this bike but I must tell you that it has been crashed. Both my helmet ( and face ) and The beautiful Croce D Aune Derailleur were hit in the crash. The frame is perfect. I remember that my face was bloody and someone stopped to see if i was alright ( a car cut me off) but all i cared about was the bike! It was an everyday rider for me but i treated it very well and i rode it only on smooth roads. Several people criticized me because they thought it was meant to be hung on a wall to be admired. I rode it because i loved it. I miss it and it may be difficult to retrieve it for you but I am willing to discuss it. Let me know what you think. I am currently living in Mexico City.
Best
Chris

Thank you. Size is 55cm c-t-c.
Under the BB there is a 748 stamp and on the other side a 5.
Does that mean that it is the n748 out of the 800 bikes that were made?
