The sun is finally here in Vancouver and my bike is out of storage :)

I've dispensed with the OEM 80s 700x18 tires, which kept flatting. They are replaced with more sensible 700x23 Hutchinsons. + A slight lube n clean and the bike rides beautifully.

Props to my LBS for the assistance. And to PerformanceBike for the wheels.

Now on to the other 2 Centurions I found that my friends are waiting for me to fix up for them ...

Dude, love the panther!

Nice one. Didn't even know they made 18mm tires. I just got a pair of the same 23c's and I thought those were as skinny as it gets. So where's the pics of the other two bikes??

coming soon. as soon as i've fixed and tuned them a bit ...

Vancouver, Canada? We should do a C&V ride sometime.

I absolutely LOVED those Centurions, back in the day! Never bought one, but if one comes up for sale locally, I would be sorely tempted!

I would have to heartily approve, having a slight bias towards Centurions....and Ironman in particular. Great job.

I think the whole thing that makes Centurions cool and mysterious is that (besides being well made bikes) it's a Japanese bike that does not have a Japanese name, like Bridgestone and Panasonic.

Well I dont have an Iron Man, but I do have an '85 Elite RS I got for free, and it just happened to be in excellent condition too once I cleaned all the crud off it. I ride it to work every day, and I do have to confess its a smooth riding bike.
