Red and white bikes- Ooh La la!
We are finally starting to get some great weather in Minnesota- Several of my riding friends suggested a red and white bike theme for our morning and afternoon rides.
All in all, a great red and white bike day. Happy Easter.

If you have unearthed 3 more Primatos you better spill the beans.
Those are fantastic riding bikes.

Does cherry red count? This is from an old eBay auction, hence the lack of a seat, but I have always thought that cherry red looks a bit more "business" than regular ol'red.

What I have found out is that there were 9 of these purchased at one point by a local shop. They were team bikes, and were raced in the Midwest. One of the bikes was modified into a fixie a couple of years ago. Everything ground off and essentially ruined. The other two are alive and well. Both of the remaining two are my size and I have made an offer on both, although I would not expect them to be sold anytime soon. I'll see if can't get a shot or two next time we are out that way. They were all set up the same way with DuraAce. So far now, there won't be much "beans" spilling. I will though, post shots of her bike as we build over the next few months!

Your wife is getting (got?) an amazing Valentines Day present. Too bad my girl wouldn't really appreciate such an amazing bike. Though she would, probably, like the paint job.

And a UK version of the red-and-white theme.

You gonna eat that?
You just put that pic up to tease me. Well, if red and silver in this thread, how about an older pic of that bike's doppelgänger from the time before I wrecked it-

Does a "work in progress" count as a bike? If so, here's mine pictured as received, my £12.51 e-bay purchased 1966 Claud Butler "Olympic Road" frame. Started work on the restoration today. Removed the seized BB and surfaced rusted headset. Will strip to bare metal, rustproof, re-enamel in red and white as per original and replace with authentic water slide transfers from H. Lloyd cycles of Penrith in Cumbria UK. In the third photo are two more of my current Claud Butler projects - a 1935 model Super Velo (green and white) that only needs cables and mudguards now to complete - might finish her in a moment, and a blue 1953 Silver Jubilee model owned from new by the same chap who had her built as a fixie back in '53. Not red and white I know, but I'd say definitely C&V.
Plans for the red & white Olympic build - stainless mudguards, Mavic clincher/Campagnolo Record High flange wheels, Ofmega Vantage chainset, Mafac Racer brakes with arero levers, SR Sakae bars & stem, black rolls saddle, either Campagnolo Nuovo Record or Shimano Sora/ 600 gears (depends which will handle my 34T rear sprocket!), DT friction shifters, tubular rack & panniers. Got it all except for the downtube decals, aero levers and bar tape so should be a lot quicker to finish than the green one!
