I am immediately intrigued by the "Vintage PEUGEOT RACING BIKE 1970's" but also note that the seller failed to mention WHERE the garage sale is. Duh! Livermore is further than I might normally travel, but I may be persuaded. Surprisingly, the seller did list a phone number, so I call to ask for an address and find out more about the bike. The seller says, "Oh, you can see pictures on ebay.": https://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-PEUGEOT-...item2c578cd12a.

WTF? I said to the seller, "When does the ebay auction end? If you have it listed on ebay, aren't you obligated to sell it on ebay?" The ebay auction ends after the garage sale! She replies that she doesn't think it will sell on ebay because of the high shipping cost.

Suffice it to say I will not be making a trek out to Livermore, and I caution anyone who intends to bid on this bike as I suspect the auction will be deleted over the weekend.
Forget the shipping cost - $120 for a beat to hell U08 is wishful thinking. Anyone that would pay that much for this low-end hulk, even in a hot bike market, needs to have their head examined. IMO.

Hell - I'm only 20 miles from Livermore and I wouldn't make the drive for it, even if it was priced at $40. It's junk.

Wow! Better jump on this one quick, what a deal! LOL!

I think I still have one of these in the shed, and I couldn't decide if it was worth the bother to strip any parts off before getting rid of the frame.

Must be a rare and collectable tube. Good thing he lists the part #. If it was a 16704 no way would it have any value.

Huffy Bicycle Tube - $10

I have a Huffy 20 X 1,75 Bicycle Tube (Huffman Manufacturing Company, Part #16703) for sale.

The box is worn out and the tube is dusty (due to storage) but never used.

Wow, just checked the eBay auction - someone is actually willing to spend $100 plus $120 for shipping on this POS.

What is strange is that all 6 bids are by the same bidder. Over the course of 2 minutes, 4 seconds the bid increases from $50 to $100. Stranger still, is that there are no intermediate or automatic bids from the opening bid of $0.01 to $50.

That's probably the bidder trying to top a reserve price.

It's a no-reserve auction, I'd suspect it's the seller shill bidding the price up a bit.

Reply to: sale-ee4vr-1955941731@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a wonderful old school classic 10 speed, weighs 28lbs. high pressure clinchers with presta valves. If like me you rode bikes like the "Fugi Finest" or "Raliegh Paramount" back in the 80's than you'll love this Lotus.

It breaks my heart having to sell it but don't have the room at my new apt. The bike sold for $1300.00 back in it's day, still a smooth fast ride, wouldn't recomend it for kids!
Idiot.

I Recycle Unwanted Bicycles for Sustainable Transportation (Mount Vernon, NY)

Hi, perhaps you have a broken down or otherwise operable bicycles you don't want any longer, I recycle bicycles and sell them for reasonable prices according to the value of the input servicing labor, bike condition, and comparable estimated figurative valuation and accept unwanted bicycles. If you can't at some time to your convenince drop them off at my conveniently located workshop, it might be possible for me to arrange pickup as my sole means of transport at the present is the bicycle in combination with or without the assistance of mass transportation as with the excellent MTA Bicycle Permit for $5 per lifetime!

I know people with mini pickups though for local pickups and I do "Awesome" Bicycle service and MORE!

i.e. transport your bike over to his shop, give it to him for free, and tell a friend to go back and purchase it from him when he posts it on Craig's List for $250.

He posts all the time. Must work. Maybe he should look into setting his business up as a franchise operation. Amazing! No need to spend hours and hours scouring rummage and garage sales, etc. People bring you free bikes...to your door! Wow! What a concept!

At least he's relatively honest about his operation. We've got at least one local flipper that posts ads soliciting bike donations for a "church group" or a youth cycling club (the ad once mentioned a preference for adult-sized road bikes...)

53" Road Bike - $300 (Walled Lake)

Reply to: sale-6v4wq-1978977592@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I'm moving out of the country and am selling my things.... one of my favorite positions is my bicycle! I am a triathlon and have been using this bike for the last 2.5 years. It's a great entry level bike. It has a carbon fork and shamanto components. I have recently changed the front tier due to a rock (hence the miss-matched tiers). I will be sad to see the bike go, but I can't take it with me. Please let me know if you are interested in seeing it and giving it a ride! Thanks!

This guy might be a little off base with a dented top tube haha!

https://corvallis.craigslist.org/bik/1979219060.html

Specialized Allez Pro 56cm - $475 (Corvallis)

This is a 1999 aluminum frame with some nice upgrades. I've owned the bike for 6 years now and it still rides well. I am 5'11 and the bike fits well. There is a small dent in the top tube (see picture), this has been there since I bought it. It just needs some new grip tape on the drop bars.
Specs:
1999 Specialized Allez Pro (Aluminum Frame) 56cm
Full Shimano Ultegra shifters, brakes, and derailers
FSA carbon fiber crank set
Carbon fiber front fork
Richey stem
San Marco saddle
SPD peddles included with sale
*i will throw in the specialized saddle bag, and a CAT bike computer that needs a battery

Will consider trade for a 'cross bike

Hey, it's NOS!

Oh wait, that was a year ago before he hung a bunch of garbage parts on it and started locking it to parking meters.
