Both wheels are good. The rear wheel has a neadly new continental gator skin tire. I bought this bike on Craigs list for $1600 , only to have it break to months later . $1,600? Really? And broken, 300, really? Without a picture?

AU$10,000 for a bike that's been well-used, and isn't actually the one ridden by Pantani. Right ... Nice cutout, I suppose.

"In 1998 The Legendary ( late) Marco Pantani won the Tour de France Giro d'italia double. One of only 3 riders to have done so. 1 x Bianchi Boron Team Mercatone Uno 1998 Team replica Limited edition Boron steel frame. For Sale Complete Campagnolo Record 9 sp bike with Selle Italia Flite Pirata saddle, Campagnolo Proton Clincher wheels, new Vittoria Cx tyres, new Elite stainless bottle cages. Special life size shop cardboard cutout of the Legendary Marco Pantani included. The overall condition is very good for a bike that has actually been used on a regular basis over 1/2 it's life. I picked up the frame at a freind's shop in Itay about 5 years ago and have gradually found the "correct" parts lthough Marco would have Used the "Electron" version of these wheels with tubulars. The difference is minimal and a practical consideration, for someone wanting a real collectable that you can actually ride with confidence! Bianchi produced a replica of Pantani's actual superlite alloy race bike, this however is something even rarer. Some of the Mercatone Uno team riders used this super light Boron steel frame of which very few were produced for sale. You will note from the cutout of Signor Pantani that this bike has alloy Record Levers and he is shown with carbon levers....for the purist both options are technically correct if you study the photos from the period."

Hello... Please help identify this guy who stole my bike off my front porch. Below is a youtube video i posted. Any help or thoughts on getting this guy/kid would be appreciated. The bike was a metallic blue mountian bike...it had Sam Adams written down the frame as it was a Sam Adams promotional bike.

Re the $10000 Bianchi: The seller has 6000+ feedback. I'm surprised he has sold 6000 items if this is a typical auction. But I suppose according to Barnum's law, the seller has been in business more than 6000 minutes.

No one likes to see a bike stolen, but aren't locks cheaper than surveillance cameras?

cycle_maven, I hear ya. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt (ie, believing there was one too many zeros by mistake), but despite the regular priced hats etc he sells, he has some other mad prices on there too. A Scapin Fazer with campy chorus for ten grand? They list at around 7,000 (which is around AU$9,000) with Super Record, new, from a shop. And the Eleanor frame he has listed for two-and-a-half grand can be had for 1,000 as a complete bike. Maybe bikes are rare in Australia.

OK, this Craigslist ad is too good to pass up.

Ever wondered what a Helicopter-bike looks like? Ever wonder what our military is doing with "helicopter-bikes?" Well take a look at this Craigslist ad and wonder no more!

https://ventura.craigslist.org/bik/2420021826.html

Here is some of the text from the ad (in case the link does not work):

By luck we won this helicopter at a army surplus raffle. This Hela-bike is in great condition. Been told that it has only been use for three missions, one of which was used for the assassination of Osama Bin Laden. Although this copper chopper has seen battle everything works like its brand new. New Tires, New rotor blades, roll cage completely intact. With purchase of this Helicopter bike, one complementry flight lesson will be given for free by one the senior retired hela-bike pilots from the Canadian Air force.

Please note this is only a one man aircraft been for night stealth missions. Please check with our local airport for any licenses or approvals needed, before going air born.

The Hela-bike can equip (but does not come with)
-50mm Gatling Gun
-Inferred and Night Vision camera placements
-Radar beacon

I have a buddy who works on human-powered helicopters. It would be much cheaper for him to just buy this one, I suspect.

I have to admire the work that went into this ad. Crazy as a five-legged raccoon, but pretty good work:

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/2443005757.html

Vintage 1971 Schwinn Sports Tourer (Badasses need only inquire) - $100000 (NE)

What kind of bike? I don't know, I'm not a bike scientist. What I am though is a manly guy looking to sell his bike. This bike is made out of metal and kick ass spokes. It has old school hand brakes, but if you think that deters me from riding down hills, you're way wrong. I practiced ninja training in Japan's mount Fuji for 5 years and the first rule they teach about ninja biking is that newer unreliable handbrakes can squeak and let the enemy know where you are. Simple, smart, manly.

The bike is yellow because yellow is, well, bad ass. I bought this bike for 300 dollars from a retired mercenary that fought in both World War 1 and World War 2 and had his right arm bitten off by a shark in the Phillipines while stationed there as a shark handler. When he sold it to me I had to arm wrestle him for the honor to buy it. I broke his arm in 7 places when I did. He was so impressed with me he offered me to be his son but I thought that was sissy **** so I said no way.

The bike has some updated parts, but that just shows how much of a bad ass you are. Everyone knows different parts on a bike means that you probably know how to work on it and chicks love dude that swing a big wrench. The parts could all be updated, but if you're going to go to that trouble why not just punch yourself in the balls since you're probably a dickless lizard who doesn't like to look intimidating.

I've topped out at 75 miles per hour on this uphill but if you're just a regular man you'll probably top it out at 10 miles per hour. This thing is listed as a street bike which is man-code for bike tank. The bike has 10 speeds. Yeah, that's right. Ten speeds of awe-inspiring glory. If that messes with your mind, then this isn't for you. You should go back to the main page and find yourself a nice bicycle built for two.

Additionally, this tool of all immense men comes with a kick-stand. That **** is welded right on there because I don't ever want anybody taking it off. If that's a deal breaker then YOU lack self confidence. Real men don't lay their bikes down. You treat it like a beautiful woman. You keep it clean and pretty and you ride it hard.

This isn't a mountain bike or one of those weird hybrid bikes. It's got street tires on it that look like they came straight out of the Daytona 500. The grips are worn. If I were you I would snag this sweet ride and just rip'em off. Put some duct tape on the handle bars and ride.

This bike has one of those 1970's generators on it that powers the lights in the front and back. That's right hippies! Its as green as Al Gore's composted feces. I rode it down k2 on a skiing trip with Bill Murray and blew out the back bulb from the massive amount of energy it built up so you'll have to go pick up a new rear bulb.

This bike is $250 OBO I'm assuming if you took the time to read this whole ad then you're a real man looking for a badass ride. Stop wasting time reading this ad and send me an email so you too can experience this beast.

a) "(you don't need a rear brake)" ... if your time's up, your time's up!!!
b) 27" CST gummy tires (i.e., cheapies)
c) "Yea those are Cottered cranks!"
d) shiny "steel is real" rims
e) clear "rattle can" enamel finish (i.e., 99 cent stuff from Big Lots)

And you're trying to get $200 for your old mint condition '88 Centurion Dave Scott Ironman Expert!

OK, so I have a great vintage Raleigh Sprite 27 that I have been trying to sell for a few weeks now. Other than one flat tire, which I will either fix for you or knock off $25, this bike is in awesome condition. It is in a vibrant yellow color and was tuned up last year. It has working gears, nice grips and sturdy brakes.

I want to get rid of it soon. Best offer takes it, but only serious offers will get replies.

HURRY UP and get this for the summer.
