^ Ha! Not only are they bad photos, but two are the same!

Here's another (my boldface). That "minor dent" looks to be a major problem. Maybe it would hold up with light commuter duty, but that's a significant bend, not a minor dent. Oh, and I wish sellers would stop referring to "Record du Monde" as if it were a model.

I'm selling a 1960's/70's Peugeot Mixte bicycle, "Record du Monde". This bike is all original. The bike has original beautiful orange paint. It has a minor dent as shown in picture otherwise in great condition. Has the orginal mattress seat, very comfortable, MAFAC brakes. Quick release wheels. Chrome fork. I am 5'7 and it's perfect size for me. It is a very comfortable ride and ready to go. Thank you for your interest.

Just be happy they spelled Peugeot correctly if you don't know much about the bike then it makes sense to put all the text found on the bike

Hahaha!

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/bik/2501156033.html

Purchased this bike new in March 2011. I've only ridden the bike a couple of times before I ran into a car door. Front wheel needs to be replaced. Back wheel needs to be churned.

Email for for information. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the frame was originally intended to look like this.......

Asking 50 bucks, and " Not in good shape, but $150-200 in repairs will have it running quite well."

$500 firm for a flat black rattlecan'd Basso. Might even be a fixie for all we know. No photos, size, or info on the components. Just bad attitude and a bike that probably won't move...

Up for sale is a Basso road bike. I'm not sure what model. This bike is fast and has been painted flat black to deter theft. Cosmetically not great but mechanically perfect. If you know about these bikes you know the frames are some of the best. New tire and handlebar tape. Ready to ride. $500 firm. I won't take less so don't ask.

i like it when people advertise that they made the bike ugly to "deter theft".. not thinking that the reason why it deters theft is because they've completely destroyed the resale value

just had to post this up for hilarity. i know centurions are great and all, and yes the frame size is rare...but seriously? this frame alone is going to end up costing more than a full bike!

^ But that's a really well-reserved example of a top-of-the-line centurion, in a rare size. It's more than I would spend, but not laughable IMHO.

Dude, Where's My Bike? (Portland, ME)

Had a few too many in the Old Port last weekend and locked my bike up somewhere between there and the West End, only problem is, I can't remember quite where. Something parallel to Spring St. Black Motobecane with red brake wires and a Working Bikes Collective sticker on the frame. Missing front wheel - don't worry, I have it. Any helpful information I'll buy you a six pack, pack of smokes, some baked goods, a smile. Thanks, email works best for me, appreciate any help (yes I have looked myself, but where could it be??).

Where to begin on this one.....

Its a Pug UE-8 for $1000?

No, that only for the rusted frame! The rest of the bike does not come with it, although I'll go on to describe the tires, fenders, generator, etc in the rest of the ad. And I'll make sure that almost all the pictures are of the components and not closeups of the frame. You know, the thing I'm selling?
