I am selling a Gorgeous Vintage Antique 1970s C. Itoh Road Bike / Bicycle! The bike is a 1-Owner, Garage-Kept bicyle. It is made of stainless steel and is in fantastic condition. This bike is 100% stock Made in Japan The brakes work flawlessly, the seat is Clean and the gears shift well. ! There are many high-end parts (such as brass casings) on the brakes and throughout the bike. The size if 60 cm on the frame, and tires ar 26-27" in diameter. The bike is tuned up and read to ride! The stainless steel frame is what makes this bike particularly rare, it has the looks and steel of a Delorean! I am selling the road / racing bicycle to the first person with $275 cash. Please feel free to email me your contact info and I will call you. Thank you.

Bet the gears would shift better if the chain went around the derailleur.

Vintage 1980's Bianchi road/racing bike - $3200 (Newington)

Reply to: sale-7hbw7-2547800586@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a rare vintage Italian 1980's Bianchi road bike. It was made in Italy in the 80's. The seat is 57 cm. The bicycle is painted in the traditional celeste color and equipped with Campagnolo components. I bought the bike used for $1100 and had it professionally restored for $1500. The bike is over 25 years old. It is an Italian collectors item from the world's oldest bicycle-making company still in existence. People spend thousands of dollars on just the frame. If you would like more pictures I have several on this bike. Get this rare vintage 1980's Bianchi road racing bike while you still can.

Prez Obammo Orig 1st Mtn Bike - $5 (OC)

Date: 2011-08-31, 11:56PM PDT
Reply to: sale-z6nwf-2576466785@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
After a long but not exhaustive search with clues from the foremost carnival psychic readers and evidence backed up by the Fullerton P.D., Fox news has confirmed that President Barry Abammo's 1st mtn bike has been uncovered and is now for sale. The bicycle, a cannondale M2000 with front suspension was thought to be made in Hawaii, but new claims assert the bike originated in either the Sudan, Pakistan, Nigeria or a compound in Pakistan located 20 feet from George Bush's missing weapons of mass destruction.

The bike appears to have a tow hitch capable of hauling launching ramps for scud missiles. The bike shows signs of only traveling on the far left side of the road, a clip near the brake cables might be used to hold marijuana cigarettes, while off white residue on the frame could be left over cocaine, anthrax or universal health care remnants. The bikes has scratches from major crashes on Wall St on the left side, but records indicated the blame was always on the right. Tread wear shows the bike was only ridden on the left hand side of the road, with blind spots towards the middle and the right.

While Barry is not commenting on its true origins, Rush Limblah excitedly shouted "Impeach Him" from his mountain of prescription pills and pizza boxes. When Sarah imPalhimn was reached for comment, all was heard was Blah, Blah, Blah and Yadda Yadda Yadda, before she was run over by the tea party bandwagon, which only stops for KKK rallies and tax breaks for the rich. Bike enthusiasts from South America examined the scratches on the frame and claimed to see the face of Jesus in one of them. They asked for the bike to become a shrine and offered 10,000 tortillas for it. This constituted 50% of its GNP.

The asking price is five trillion dollars for this piece of American, Pakistan, African, and/or Hawaiian history, take your pick. The inflated price was necessary to pay for universal health care and dance lessons for his wife. President Barry Obammo is famous for being the 1st black president of local Elks club number #420. If all goes well in 2012, Obammo will run for Grand Pooba of the Elks lodge and get his picture on the wall of fame. While Barry's IQ in unquestionable high, his penchant for Godzilla movies, pork rinds and playing dodge ball with the ********s at the local young republican clubhouse have come under fire.

Please no lowballs offers and no shipping to Nigeria, that would be ridiculous. Interesting trades considered, old ford pintos, Frito lays chips or a weekend with Frida Pinto.

This little beauty with catsup 'n mustard tires is Wal-Mart's $99 flop-hub "Thruster" Fixie by Kent. Cheap as they come with painted steel cranks but highly prized by those with a Ronald McDonald fetish. Weasel seller is apparently counting on finding a chump or two before there's more info out about it -- WM doesn't list them online yet. He/she has already been outed as a scammer on Miami CL Et Caveat, Sucker.

Another KDO flipper selling a "one owner" masterpiece. I hate bulk trash week.

RARE, HAND-MADE Vintage Antique 1970 Roger Riviere Womens Road Bike - $335 (Round Rock)
Date: 2011-09-07, 8:23AM CDT
Reply to: sale-zbhzb-2586189336@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Thank you for viewing my posting, I am selling a RARE, 1-Owner, Hand-Made in France Roger Riviere Womens Road Bicycle by Gitane from 1970! It has 10 speeds, shifts well and has newly-bought Great Condition Kenda Road biking tires. This bike was made in France (see pictures) and features gorgeous hand-cut steel wedges and exquisitely-cut angles throughout the bike. Even the shape of the bike is unconventional and outstanding! The seat on this bicycle is incredibly Clean and Comfy. The brakes also are in great working condition (the bike has recently had a tune-up). The bike had 1 original owner, and registered it shortly after buying it in Columbus Ohio (dated 1973, see picture at end). Even though the bike isn't in perfect cosmetic condition, it is in 100% FUNCTIONAL CONDITION. There are no major bends, dents, or damage to the bike. . . it rides just fine and is aired up and ready to ride! This bike was a 1-owner bicycle and has been garage-kept for a long, long time. There may be just a handful of these left that are still running in the United States. There are even fewer women's Roger Rivieres on the road. I am selling the antique bicycle for $335. Please email me your phone # and I will call you with my address. (For information on Roger Riviere and the line of bicycles designed in his name, please follow this link https://www.classicrendezvous.com/Fra...er_Riviere.htm) Thank you again.

This kind of cr*p always gets my ire. Here's what I responded to him with:

At least clean the darn thing if you're gonna charge 4x what it's worth. You're not the original owner; you're obviously a KDO flipper that found the thing in the trash, and trying to make a quick buck or 300. Those were gas-pipe bike-boom relabeled Gitanes, just above department-store quality, heavy as concrete. Let me count the ways:

1) kickstand. If it were a quality bike, the chainstays would be crushed.
2) steel cottered crank. At that time, even mid-range bikes had alloy square-taper.
3) turkey levers. A sure sign of bike-boom cr*p, dangerous to use as primary braking. Also rightly called "suicide levers".
4) steel rims. Dangerous when dry, deadly when wet, weigh 3x alloy, but way cheaper to manufacture.
5) stamped dropouts. A sign that the manufacturer didn't want to even spend another 50 cents ($5 in today's currency) on parts.
6) foil decals. The easy way to make a Gitane into a Roger Riviere. Didn't even need to paint the thing differently.
and lastly:
7) Kenda tires. Is there any better way to tell your customer that you care enough to buy the worst?

Early 80's Peugeot - $250 (CdA)

Early eighties "vintage" Peugeot (81-83) 51cm frame. This bike is in great condition. Could use grease and new tires, but other than that it's a wonderful bike. I can give you details upon request, but everything is original. The only reason I cannot specify a year and model is because Peugeot changed the model numbers on these bikes frequently. The model number changed when sent to different countries as well as when they put different tires on it, so it's too difficult to pinpoint the exact model. This is a very sought after bicycle. If I don't receive an adequate offer, I will take the bicycle back to Portland with me where I will be able to sell it for a considerable amount more.

OMG! The Schwinn is a standard Varsity and the Miyata is a 100. Neither are worth anything near this much. From their appearance, they have been chained to that trailer for months. Rusty chains, etc.

1970s schwinn varsity $200 and Miyta $300 team usa bike $90 - $200
