any takers? the op should have had an upsidedown pic, probably would've been an easier sell

Tired of coming in second all the time? Wanna go fast? Like real fast? Then this is the bike for you. I am only selling because my wife is tired of me being so ****ing awesome all the time and making her look bad. My trophy room is so big I had to kick my kids out of the house just to extend it.

Custom built crabon fibre tri-spoke front wheel for ultimate speed. Custom bar wrap constructed from the finest of kangaroo hides. Custom powdercoated purple glitter frame (so everybody can see you pulling away from the pack). Hand built rear wheel for lateral stiffness yet vertical compliance. Right now it is set up for sprinting but could easily be converted to a climbing machine.

Don't pass up this opportunity to be one of the fastest, baddest mutha's out there. Price is OBO, but don't try and low-ball because I know how much this thing is worth.

Serious offers only, please. Would like asking price, but may take highest reasonable offer.

I just bought this bike for $700. Is that a decent deal, or was it a bad purchase by me?

I wanted a bike that can fit me well, I am 6'4.
That is why the 26" frame really made me want it, because to my knowledge anything over 24" is rare. I don't know anything about bikes. I wanted a good commuter that will last me a while. I wasn't planning on spending half this on a bike. But this one seemed like true quality that will ride better and longer than anything in its price range. Could have I spent a lot less for a similar quality bike?

How much do you think this bike is worth?

Feedback would be much appreciated please. I don't know if I spent way too much on this, and feel sick I made a bad impulse purchase.

Cheers

The price may be a little bit high. If it fits and you enjoy riding it, forget what you paid.

Start a new thread, "Raliegh, whats it worth?" and don't say what you paid for it. You'll get what you are asking for...

I have a vintage Rog Pony Yugoslavian folding bike I would like to sell. It was given to me by a friend and is in great condition. The only notable things would be the rust and that it may need new brake pads. This would make a great refinishing project. Other than that, the bike is in excellent mechanical shape, just a bit squeaky. I'm asking $400 CASH for the bike. SLIGHTLY negotiable, must be reasonable though. If you know a lot about these bikes, then this is a good deal for you. If you are interested, TEXT me at 2674039450. Don't call because I'm in school most of the time and work. My name is Eric. Thanks.

Great ebay post in the UK:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genesis-Da...t_19813wt_1139

Brand new never ridden, bought this spring by big fat useless little dick ex boyfriend who even managed to buy the wrong size bike for me. That said he had no trouble finding the local bike from our pub he now calls his girlfriend. She hasn't seen her feet in years, so has no chance of putting one of her big fat sweaty legs over this. She needs chasing round with a ****ty stick for a week or two before even looking at riding a bike.

Super rare bike i picked up in the boonies. 3 speed, internal hub. Front brakes squeak both work fine. Tires old but fairly nice. Everything looks original. Rides like a dream.
Questions? Dont ask too many, i couldnt really find anything about this bike online! Some rust, standover height good for a 6' tall person give or take.

It must be for a chap with really long legs and really short arms. This would be perfect for a T.Rex.

This is a cool old "Hercules" 10 Speed English Road Bike ( circa 1970 ) that is ready to ride , but for some minor tinkering and perhaps a tube in front tire ( slow leak) . It is priced accordingly @ $60.00. Call 467-8391....if interested...

No, I'm sure that's a custom "S" fork - super rare. Didn't Peugeot make some of those?

That's what I gathered. Good thing he put his phone number in the ad. Here on the East coast, it would be that frame + $$ for small bag.

I'm wondering if this was a troll by the seller, it's hard to say. To spend $700 on this for commuting is insane. look at the gearing! I emailed this seller a couple years ago to tell them they were nuts. It has been reposted over and over for the last 2 years. I have to say though that bike does appear to be mint. and I think it has a steel record rd but I am not sure. It is possible it dates to before 1970.
