That's the way it was done in 1992.

Looks like that's a Stumpjumper Comp, also, a step up from the base Stumpy. Juicy XT bits.

That's the ticket! Kinda wonder what the blue one with wishbone seatstays was. Looks like someone ground off the brake bosses on that one, though, uggh!

Actually the price isn't bad for what it is. But I suspect the market for odd outdated time trial bike is pretty slim on CL.

I lucked out on craigslist, got this Schwinn super sport for 100 bucks, I knew it was rough, he was wanting 250 but not with several parts missing, everything adjusted wrong, flat tires, wheels that need to be trued etc, he was pretty lit up so probably beer money, for what it is and the fact it's mostly complete, it was well worth the 100 bucks, just some TLC and another survivor will be back on the road

a couple of years ago the fixie folks would be all over that, but it seems like garish colors and weird frames have fallen out of style a little

+ As far as I can tell the market for garish overpriced FG/SS conversion stuff died a deserved death about mid way through this summer.

conversions went away since now that it's cheaper and easier to buy a complete fixed gear off the shelf than to do the conversion

Looks like an unsuccessful bike thief almost. I thought I had stereo hoarding problems after my girlfriend left me 12 years ago.

1947 Vintage Schwinn Colegiate, ALL ORINGINAL! This bike was taken care of! Hurry And Call Oscar Before This Classic Is Gone, (303)324-0211 Thank you.

This one is a true classic of CL wackness. The poster managed to get every bit of information wrong with typical bad add copy. Looking at the pics I'm not even sure it is a Collegiate.
It looks like a 60s American or Hollywood or whatever, it's more mid to late looking to me, 1974 maybe and I'm not the expert on ladies' Schwinns except to say one of my favorite bike sellers on eBay had a Rollfast Aerolight for sale much cheaper and about as nice.
