This is interesting, a De Rosa pista that really doesn't look like a De Rosa pista. He has 22 photos in his auction and takes great effort to not photograph the top of the fork crown.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/De-Rosa-Pist...item2c6d6ed9d1

This pantograph is way off

Very generic looking lugs

Uhhh

Yikes

Dad with stupid kid. Dad's not so informed either.

[h=2]Save gas and $$$ -- Buy my HUFFY Men's Bike - $50 (Lake Forest)[/h]

I never ride my bike, so my son disconnected my gears to look at something. He didn't put them back!!! I understand it's an easy fix, but I promise you that I will never get to it.

Everything is in very good condition and I want more space in my garage. Can YOU reconnect the gears and use this nice bike? Hope so!!

Available immediately. Take 'er away!!!! And enjoy.

Sandy 929.613.2099

I am tall, BTW, so if you are tall this bike will work fine for you. If you are not tall, adjust the seat.

Pantograph? Looks like somebody with ham-fists and a set of letter stamps is trying to pull a fast one... double-stamped the "D"

The De Rosa has just so much wrong with it Lug work seems wrong panagrahs are just bad paint is qeustionable shinny repaint, decals not so good I wouldn't sell this frame for much more than $50 at a bike coop sale much less try to sell it for $1500.

I contacted the seller and he appears to have pulled the ad. I suggested he post pictures here and CR to identify what it might actually be..

Yeah, also didn't DeRosa's have a little heart cutout in the top lug, too? There is much wrong with that frame.

It has been re-listed with a BIN of $1500 and some more info:

A watcher contacted me and suggested this is not a De Rosa. Purchased from Conrad in NYC in 1983. Frame is pinned, has Diamante stays, De Rosa dropouts- see photos. There is no serial number anywhere, either on steering tube or BB. Not a team bike. Contact Christiano De Rosa, as I have, and send him photos and questions. You might do well to communicate in Italian, but at any rate he is very quick to respond to questions. He confirmed the approximate construction date, and that the color was original to the frame. I had hoped that he would have more to tell me, because Conrad and Ugo had a pretty close relationship, the former being the premier dealer in NCY at the time. Check out my feedback. I haven't made a crooked deal, ever.

Just got back from looking at this POC, no good rotten shape, really disappointing that the seller wouldn't budge on price. Things wrong were front wheel bearings shot, canti pads were dangerous, all cables and housings rusted beyond use, crank bearing shot, rusted chain/freewheel/chainrings. He said "I've got another person interested, need a bus pass". This thing should've been free...

^Man, that is a tough choice! I'm leaning toward the stem though. It does "stand out" as the most endearing feature.

That last shot makes it look like the bike is considering jumping out the window...Can't say I'd blame it.

I had bars like these on my '91 Haro Master back in high school. Can't say I ever thought they'd work on a Trek, but what do I know? I suppose this could be the ultimate in upright riding comfort...

Well the frame has been re-listed at the $1500. Price I don't get this one if it was legit and a complete bike $1500 seems high.
