I can't comment on the price, track stuff is more scarce. I am only hoping to get about a third of that for my Henry Burton, and it is way cleaner constructed. I guess the DeRosa name carries a premium. Even with all the dead cats

Yeah, those nails make it not even look safe to ride. I guess riding it makes you hardcore then.

All this awesomeness for only $200?! It may need a new tire in the back, but the tube is still good! Not only that, but it comes with a sweet BMX seat so you can race it as a CX bike... With a new rear tire of course.

The conversation went something like this:

"We got the pedals off, the brakes off, the handlebar off, the wheels off... Anything else before we paint it?"
"Shut up and paint yer stoopid bike so you can keep stirring the meth!"

And when "tektra breaks" are an upgrade, I wonder about the quality of the originals.

II don't see anything real wacky on this one the price is a bit high by maybe $50 but other than that nothing stands out. Seems like pretty decent bike.

I agree on the Nishiki. Barcons, alloy wheels w/QR, chromed stays, and 3 piece crankset. With a good cleaning/tune-up and new tires in my area I could get $200.

Cleaned up nice and well presented with a good tuneup I could get $200-250 easy tor this bike It has a alot going for it nicely done chro-mo frame with foreged chrome drops and integrated hanger. Very nice alloy maxy crank, decent alloy wheels original correct plus oe barcons and decent Suntour stock. All in all a very nice bike.

I'd call that one a sleeper. Zoomed in, it seems to be a Nishiki Competition ... mid 70's and one of their nicer bikes at the time. Would be surprised if it didn't have a chro-moly frame, maybe butted. And look at the wraparound stays.
Chromoly frames weren't all that common until the early 80's, plus the parts look clean and the chrome is shiny. You could spend a lot more for a lot less bike.
Would be a very decent deal for someone who wanted to ride for sport without breaking the bank.

Not necessarily bike related, but what does this guy think a nice laptop, a high end watch or an iPhone is worth?

Nice Mikkelsen, a very under rated builder. I had one and it was the best filet brazing I have held.

Not knocking the bike so much (except the rear tire and Lance Armstrong-only seat), but I live in BFE. Somebody's been eBaying bikes in Portlandia and thinking they can get the same $$$ in a place where "Nishiki" would more likely be identified as sushi rather than a bike.
