I'll just say that in this particular relationship, the man is getting a pretty raw deal.

So, that Yeti was purchased for $7k. That's got to be at least one full monthly trust fund check, then.

Also, what exactly is artisan about the bike? The fact that the colors clash less than average for W'burg?

Yes - many series 3 Paramounts sell for $900. I'm wondering if BBC opened a Philadelphia branch

And you get to replace the batteries and tires!

King of Prussie sounds dirty.

Please to meet you "throw in a bike rack", they call me dances with SPDs.

These pictures tell a story...

Mini aliens invade bike.

Mini aliens attack with fireworks.

Bike catches on fire. Aliens leave. Mission accomplished.

Heres yet another add of a bike that is not vintage or valuable that someone thinks is a $1000 gem. Yet it should be obvious to anyone who bothered to look that it isn't. I sold one of these for $90 recently got it out of dumbster slightly nicer condition thought it was a good price. https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/3908551237.html

Not only is the fork badly bent, but you'd have to have to be Buster from the newest season of Arrested Development to use the right brake.

Here's something kinda wacky both of these bikes are on the same page on Denver's CL in the same price range.
POS Schwinn $400.

https://denver.craigslist.org/bik/3915697304.html

Looks like fairly nice real track bike decent components and wheels $450.

facepalm....

"BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED"
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A SMALL DUST PARTICLES (IMAGE #6) THE PAINT JOB IS PRETTY MUCH FLAWLESS.
not to mention he forgot to remove the headset when he spraypainted the frame.

"I AM STILL UNSURE OF THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER."
then you likely can't back up the asking price with pesky things like facts

This guy is actually a friend of mine & I take the piss out of him constantly about his asking prices. And he does have some nice things which are actually valuable. In the end tho, it's the folks who actually fork it out I have the biggest gripe with. Call it the pb*bikes effect I guess.

It's like people who say they love bluegrass, but what they really like is crap like the Old Crow Medicine Show or Mumford & Sons. Call it the pretty rich boys with banjos & cheap cowboy hats effect.

Even if you put a decimal point between the second and third 0, you could buy a new one of this BSO back in '09 at Wally World for $31 less.

Beat me to it! I'd like to see his underwear after hitting 70 MPH, heck, he could win the tour with speeds like that on this bike.

The only way he hit that speed was with the bike in the back of his truck on I-75.

Vintage Custom Built Touring Bicycle Bike Huret Phil Wood TS Mafac Ideale 3ttt

Price:US $34,999.00

You could be the proud owner of this vintage custom touring bicycle. Hand built in North Carolina in the '70s this bike features beautiful craftsmanship and a classic touring parts group. Perfect for the rider ready to conquer any distance or collector, this bicycle is looking for a new home and it could be yours.

BIKE CONDITION

The bike is in excellent overall condition and free of bends, cracks and corrosion. The red paint still has a good luster to it with very few small marks or scratches to be found throughout the bike. The bike appears to be a custom build from the frame up. The Wobbler tires are cracked from age but appear ridable. The handlebar tape is a bit loose and could use a re-wrap or replacement before riding. Unfortunately there is on small ding in the top tube on the drive side of the frame.

This bike has been tuned and fully overhauled right down to the re-greasing and packing of the bearings (hubs, bottom bracket, and headset) by a seasoned shop mechanic with many years of experience. The bike has also been test ridden and given a thorough 83 point inspection by the owner of our bike shop. The owner ride the bike in every gear checking steering, braking and shifting. After you receive this bicycle, minimal adjustments will be needed to be ready to ride.

This bicycle is being sold as is, please see photographs for details.

As this bicycle is currently in one of our storage warehouses we can do a bicycle showing by appointment at our 1201 Regent St Location. All in state sales are subject to local sales tax (WI 5.5%). All bicycle showings are subject to a 25% down payment. This is fully refundable after the showing is completed if you purchase the bike or decline the purchase.
