Beyond notorious, BBC is. So notorious in fact, that he has infected ebay and even craigslist with his asking prices. Case in point a Ross Mt Hood being sold locally for $1200. I asked him how they got the price, and yep, they mentioned BBC. The world of ebay and CL will be a GLORIOUS place once he finally gives up the idiocy that is his pricing strategy. As far as I know he has never sold a single bike?,,,,BD

I think BBC is using these ads to get attention - not to sell the bikes (and I don't think he is selling them after checking his feedback). If he sells one, great - and he can use the complete bike ads to inflate parts pricing. BBC also has bought lots for far over what I thought they were worth as a flipper. Actually I thought he was out of his mind, but it might have had a purpose other than short term flipping. If you've seen his posts here and the CR list, the guy doesn't strike me as an evil genius or market manipulator - if his strategy doesn't work, he'll go belly up.

Apparently, several people on here have bought things from him (or from people who bought them from him) at reasonable prices at swap meets, so who knows what is larger purpose is. Laundering money? Inflating the market? Some sort of massive practical joke on us all?

If you look at what he's sold in the last couple months, there is a variety of stuff. There's actually two bikes there. One bike he sold for $59 for parts as the frame and fork were bent (he admitted that), but the parts looked decidedly low end and he charged $150 for shipping. I think he got $7-800 for the other one plus another $150 sipping, don't remember what it was.

Eventually it will all be in an estate sale and probably sell for less than he paid.

If any "serious" racers, tri guys or cross competitors want a magical bike capable of all three, I'll facilitate:

At least he dropped the price $200 on both of these gems in the last month or two... If he gets under 400, I will start taking these ads seriously. He has been listing both for at least a year and a half, once or twice a week. IIRC he started in the 1200 range on both?

I love it, but it's slightly too big for me (i'm 5'6"). it used to be red and yellow, but i covered it in wood grain contact paper to make it look like a "tree-bike", but it has gained some scratches and stickers, but NO DENTS. it's in great condition.

He's dropped it $100 now. He had been asking $300 for close to 2 years. I offered him $150 for the frame 6 months ago, and got no response. Oh well, he's still dreaming... Asking $200 for the frame, and $325 for the whole bike I might give him $200 for the whole bike, if the fork was straight. He doesn't mention if the bent fork belongs to the frame or not? He also gives Kurts site for the catalog scan. Love the $125 Biopace 105 cranks!!!,,,,BD

Looks like the seller takes really good care of all their stuff... I'll bet if we zoomed out a bit, there'd be empty baggies and cheetoh crumbs all over the place.
