Avoid scams, deal locally! Do NOT wire funds (Western Union, Moneygram).
Beware cashier checks, money orders, shipping, non-local buyers/sellers. More info

^ "Only one in the world"

I think there might be a reason for that. Riding that thing says "My dad isn't very good at designing bicycles". Might as well be a unicycle from the seat position.

So, here's a lesson in dealing with your frustration:

https://spokane.craigslist.org/bik/4048215902.html

[h=2]free bicycle parts.... (the valley)[/h] Used bicycle parts... A little bit of everything... Some good, some not so good... Frames, wheels, tires, shifters, etc...

Am I going to answer a bunch of questions? No...
Am I going to inventory it all for you? No...
Will I lay it all out and snap a bunch of pics so you can decide? No...
Will I hold anything for you? No...
Am I gonna deliver to you? No...

Gotta take it all... First person that shows gets it all... If it's not gone tonight, I'm taking it all to the scrapper tomorrow...

Makes it on text alone.

https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/4048415216.html

One of the nicest bikes on CL right now.(seriously) - $1800 (Pony Pasture)

All these jerks keep posting junk ass kids bikes and its really ticking me off. Here i am trying to sell my Full suspension 29er. With rock shox Reba and SLX/XTR components and it keeps getting kicked down by dicks posting bikes that should only be used as canoe anchors. If you want a nice bike with White Industries and XT Disc Hubs, Mavic rims and FSA crank. Carbon brake levers, SLX shifters, Avid BB7 Brakes. this is the bike for you. It's an extra large and pimp like your uncle Jethro.

Wow, nice job! This dude took a rare classic bike, got rid of the really nice bits, and with a little hard work (and a really crappy paint job) managed to make it look like a $200 fixie from Wally World.... Words just fail me.

Take a decent if over-rated bike, add an ugly & embarrassing paint job, stick on a few accessories, and we have our Optimist of the Week:
[h=2]Hello Kitty 1970's Schwinn Chicago Beach Cruiser 26"w/ S-2 rims - $950 (Tustin)[/h] +-

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

Irvine Blvd at Holt Ave. & Irvine Blvd.

I have an ALL ORIGINAL Schwinn 26" womans beach cruiser including all reflectors custom made Hello Kitty bike. Along with Hello Kitty tires, bell and drink holder.
Custom pink powder coated with clear flakes and new Schwinn decals and added Hello Kitty decals. I made this for my wife but she doesn't ride it.
The rims are S-2 original Schwinn rims and in great condition. The handle bars, hand grips, goose neck, fork, chain guard, sweetheart sprocket, crank and messenger seat.
I'm asking $950. I will deal with serious buyers ONLY. I'm in no rush to sell it. NO low ballers. Low ballers will be ignored.

If you still see this add then the room is still available. Any emails asking if the room is still available will be ignored & considered spam.

Thank you for including a link to buy a cheaper HK bike.

LOL . I saw that ad and can't believe how some people can be so rude. I actually think I dealt with him last week. Someone posted an ad on CL for a bunch of bike parts free. I contacted him and said that I was from our co-op and gave the link to it. He then called me saying that he would be happy to give us the stuff and could I come out the next day. I said i would see. I asked for some details on the bikes because our co-op specifically tries to reject donations of decrepit old Wally World quality bikes and he then said "I don't know, some look shiny and I'm not going to bother giving you any more details or take any pictures". He then said that he bought the foreclosure house and was just trying to get rid of the crap. I contacted him the next day saying I was trying to get someone to help me get the stuff and he then responded via text with "Okay I'm going to throw them away". At that point I just stopped all communication with him and forgot about it.

I wonder if the above ad is the same guy? Sure sounds like it.

I see the reversed fork a lot in ads. Do you think these customers bring them home from the store like this? Darn shame.

https://greensboro.craigslist.org/bik/4048877501.html

Really light aluminum framed bike with the most comfortable seat ever.
Barely 1 year old. Not ridden much. Kept inside the apartment.
7 speed twist shifters. 63mm travel suspension fork.

You can ride before you buy.

He's taking the time to post FREE stuff. A few months ago I was clearing out a rental. Posted a working refrigerator for free. I was bombarded by folks wanting details on size, age, color (a nice bright shade of FREE I told one whiny guy). Others wanted to know about delivery options. Some guy then showed up & took it no questions asked. It's free. No whining. I have a job to do and it's in my way.

Well its not free to the taker. I'm doing the guy a favor by unloading junk that the guy would otherwise have to load up into his vehicle and take to the dump wasting his gas and time. Time and gas aren't exactly free.

And we are a business, a non-profit business that can't afford to be spending lots of money on gas going 10 miles each way and loading up a bunch of unusable junk that we will then have to take to the dump.

So its not like he is taking his time to post free stuff, he is getting part of his job taken care for free by having someone come and haul away his trash that he would otherwise have to pay to have hauled away.

When I talked to the guy, I didn't ask detailed questions, I just explained that we were a non-profit bike co-op that works on donations and that the only stipulation was that we try not to take in wally world class bikes because then we have to take them to the dump and pointed him to our website. It went downhill from there.

Your costs don't concern him. They aren't his problem. If you don't like it he can "give" it to someone else.
