At least he seems to have switched the brake shoes so you don't end up with quadruple ejecting brake pads the first time you hit the brakes.

Someone made a best offer on it. I wonder how much it was for.

Chain is off and the front fender is backwards?

Rear fender, too, I think.

What you guys said!

I thought it was an interesting bike - a model not sold in the US, but I just had to go back for a second look. No wonder it was ridden 600 miles in 12 years (more or less, probably more). The fender rattle alone would drive me nuts. With better pix, more may be revealed.

This ad pops up periodically (for months & months now). I wish someone would buy it and make it go away. I think that it is unlikely for the seller to drop the price. BTW, I have a used one for free if you pay postage.

Maybe there's some extra value because this is NOS, but I doubt the NIB part is all that helpful:

GOLD!!!!!! I DUN FOUND GOLD!!!!!!

https://roanoke.craigslist.org/bik/4321326289.html

I have a Rare males 27" 1973 Schwinn Sport Tour. Its all orginal with Brooks seat and generator light on the front tire. It has the orginal Sport Le Tour tires. They do hold air. I have the orginal lock and cable but no key.I also have the orginal air pump that was sold with this bike new. Theres never been any parts replaced on the bike. I have seen this same bike sale in ebay for $950 restored and without the brooks seat or the air pump or generator light or orginal lock and cable. Its also has all the reflectors in good condition. It has the orginal leather straps on the pedals. This was a California bike. It has some suface rust on the spokes.$1200obo Thanks
Major, major, value in them original tires, rotten pedal straps, rusting spokes, keyless lock, reflectors, and Californianess of the bike.
