I'm sensing a little disenchantment with an earlier CL purchase...

High Speed Competition Racing Bike

He'd give Golden Boy a run for his money on creative writing....

High Speed Competition Racing Bike - $600 (fayetteville nc)

2212 Rustic Trail
(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: good size / dimensions: 36 inch rims

This is the first generation Diamond Back Racing V-Link 1.2 Mountain Bike. This machine has never been off the pavement and has rarely been ridden. Mechanically sound, the only wear and tear is from being leaned against in the garage while drinking beer. It was originally outfitted with saddle bags for twin Thompson submachine guns with 30 round magazines but that maxed out the drag coefficient and attracted the wrong kind of attention. It has the original seat that has never even been farted on and while competitive riders are said to spend 96 percent of their time in the saddle thinking about sex, the rider of this bike never stayed on long enough to go the distance to first base. It could use an overhaul and a lube job but then couldn't we all huh? If you're looking for a training bike that can take serious abuse and then after some luvin' with your favorite gel show up early on race day to divide and conquer this is it. Original price was the same as an early evening with one of Tiger Wood's dates, latex not included. You can bet Tiger never dickered about the price. This second hand price is a steal.

Yes, it's overpriced. The wacky thing is that this bike has been on the TC Craigslist for about a year at $695. The seller has now come down $10. I'm going to tell my son's about it. They're young enough to wait him out.

I look at the TC every couple of days and this one, and a few others, seem to be going no where fast. That 'PX10' comes to mind as well. Takes some kind of dedication to bump them everyday, I guess...

Gotta be one of the tallest frames I've ever laid eyes on... The pics are a year old. I wonder why they're having a hard time moving it? Actually, if I was into the C&V stuff it might pique my interest.

Bikes - $350 (Bensalem )
Hello CL what I got is a Motobecane speed bike 10 speed it's one of the old ones. The good stuff about it is it has brand new tires and tubes. The gears shift fine all of them. The bad is the forks are bent so it will need new forks. But other then that it's a good bike and still drive able.

I also got bmx bike parts. I got a dk hello frame with a kink seat and cult bottom brackets on it. Also got a eastern seat with a pair or bars there small color black.and I also got a pair of odyssey Evo brakes with break pads every thing to set them up.

I will take 350 for all or 250 for the speed bike and 100 for all the bmx bike parts. Just text me and I will send you pictures. Number is show contact info

Those old Fuji bikes are worth some decent money, right? ( I did notify them it's worth $850-$900 less than their asking price)

This is one of those guys (or girls) that sees the Schwinn name and gets dollar signs for eyes. It's a second or third attempt to sell this bike in the last year or two.

I have seen that same PX10 for at least 4 years and the price is constantly changing! It seems to go up to about a $1000 in the spring and down to about 6-700 in the fall and winter.

Actually if that is a clean titled car that's not a bad asking price. He'll probably get $1500 for it as is at a swap meet, but might get more if he waits it out on CL. That's a clean Ford with solid quarters and since there is a title, makes it all the more appealing. People will drive long distances or pay to ship that frame all over the US. I work in the automotive aftermarket arena and deal with guys restoring cars, and especially now the baby boomers are getting their dream cars and building "their last hot rod" as I hear all the time.

Trek 990 Mountain Bike with s s Coupler | eBay

The frame has some deformation at the headtube/top tube and at the Head tube/down tube (forgot the bike was on the rack when I drove car into garage). But its minor and has not affected the ride quality or frame durability.
Take a look at the fourth and fifth picture...

I never knew that a deformed down tube and top tube were signs of cosmetic wear.

I guess someone would buy it if they were desperate to buy anything. That is a car that's been parted out, and now they are trying to get the cost for the whole car for what is left of it. It's not any kind of special model or anything that woud demand top dollar. We can agree to disagree, but it would sit on a trailer at the swap meets here for a grand, and have no takers.
