I've been seeing these kit bikes on STL CL. People are looking for cheap transportation everywhere. The worst one was this Giant with a McCullough chainsaw engine on the back wheel.

From the flipper files..... I saw this posted early Wed or Thurs for $100 and it was really dusty and dirty. I figured I wait the day and see if anyone bought it and then check on the size. Well when I went to look later in the evening it was gone. I just popped back up this afternoon at $400!

I am pretty certain it is a '91 tipping the scales at 24.7 lbs, hows that for "Very Light Weight" LOL. The MSRP with Exage 400/500 mix was $499

would you spend that much money on this bike and put midrange shimano on it?

something looks off about this bike, decals don't look right weight, and the fact that he's running sora shifters is kinda a joke.
Here's another for sale that looks legit. No more new bids for our eBay friend-?

I saw the $2500 price tag alongside "old tubulars (no good)" and still wasn't going to submit this until I noticed the location: Greenfield, Indiana advertising on the Minneapolis CL. Cast your net wide, you crazy dreamer!

[h=2]Vintage high end Raleigh men's, Campy parts - $2500 (Greenfield, IN)[/h]Vintage high end Raleigh men's, Campy parts

1980ish Raleigh Team Pro men's bike, w Campy Record gruppo, Reynolds 531 tubing, old tubulars (no good), about 54cm, Avocet saddle. Reasonable offers considered. Well-maintained in its prime, but hasn't been ridden much in 18 years. A classic. Buyer to pay shipping, or arrange to pick up.

Speaking of concealing bidders' names on ebay, my ebay name is, not surprisingly, noglider. For a while they were starring it out as n******r, but that looked really ugly. I didn't complain, but I guess someone alerted them to the problem where it starts with 'n' and ends with 'r' so now I think I show up as n******o.

I called this guy about the the Tourist, he was hesitant to give a price, but when I said "no thanks" he said he thought the bike was worth between $300 and $3000. I said "good luck with that".

I'd love to see this one up close!
I can see a $200.00 to $300.00 price for that. I go high for a good bike if I maybe I just sold some bikes! It will be worth that much eventually!

The German listing appears to be a real one - Bild 6 - Mountain-Bikes, BMX-Räder, Rennräder - Vintage Rennrad Colnago Mexico 72 Oro Record Gold Edition 24K Rarität

E-Bay listing's counterfeit. That bike may be a Colnago (unlikely) but it sure as hell isn't what the seller says it is.

I reported the listing twice - once for shilling, once for sale of counterfeit items.

I know we're looking at "wacky" and "weird" in this thread, but this is just pure bull****. Someone is going to get scammed because of this assmaggot.

Vintage Schwinn Men's 10-speed road bike, TALL FRAME rare bike!

*yes I have the seat, I just used it on a loaner bike the day I took these pics. And a new front brake cable has since been installed with all new....

THIS BIKE is sweet. Hard to find tall frame, I believe it's 26"- 27" and will fit riders 6'2" and taller. I'm 6ft and with the seat all the way down it's still a tad too big or else I'd never sell this one.

Made in Chicago, I'm not sure of the year or model but I believe to be late 60s Paramount model but I could be off a bit. Either way it's a very nice frame, great center pull style brake (this bike is single front brake setup, I have original back brake but no lever that is included w the bike).

If you've been looking for a sweet tall road bike, here ya go...$140, won't last long...

No, that's a legit made-for-the-purpose stem extender. I have one on my Raleigh Twenty to get the bars up to a reasonable height on an aftermarket fork.

It's kinda wobbly, though. Not really confidence-building.
