That guy has a ton of stuff up right now. Maybe it's just Portland Pricing. There's some cool stuff, but it makes me really curious who's buying.

Naw, it can't be a woman bike, because he says you can't beat it.

Sorry, bad joke. Nice 600 tricolore group on it though... I'd call $225 a good deal for someone looking for a 53cm with downtube shifting. Move those shifters up to the cockpit with some Retroshifts and you're in business!

Some people with poor balance prefer the whole no saddle thing. Provides a much more secure attachment.

How can they call that restored when they clearly have pictures of it in a previously better state!? It's like they un-restored it.

How can someone, claiming to be a bike shop, allow a bike to be put together like that.

To some, perhaps. I've met Barry. He's a nice guy. I agree he's selling probably to the one-percenters (or perhaps bike fanatics in Japan and China), but he also tracks down stuff nobody else has.

I do wish people would lay off him. Nobody's forcing you to buy his stuff.

I wasn't intending anything negative. And quite frankly, more power to him if he's selling the stuff. I have put things at higher prices because I was indifferent if they sold and everything has. Most overseas as you mentioned. He has a lot of cool things, some just being more common were I just don't get the price point. But again, if he's selling the stuff, then I'm a doofus for not pricing my items higher.

[h=2]hover bike - $900 (South Academy and hancock)[/h]

What's to say. I'm selling a hover bike prototype. This gem can be yours for the low price of $900.00. That's insane for high tech transportation like this. Forget buying that segway that ultimately makes you look like a ******. This hover bike is much safer and way more practical. This one is the color of silver and oxidized steel. No moving parts!

Features :

Hand activated thrusters
Contoured adjustable seat
Ultra lightweight
Security chain

This thing is so badass. I'll accept 900.00 or will consider trades for a six pack of Surge soft drinks, Nintendo or Batman cereal, or $2,ooo.oo cash.

The only reason I'm selling is cuz I am running for city Council and need money for my campaign.

Did you see the second photo? I think the more significant question is how can they allow at least three bikes to be put together like that?

I'm amused by the forward-facing front baskets on a couple of them, too: "if you plan to carry anything in there, be careful not to brake too hard!"

Oh, and then this gem from the bike rental section of their website: "We give full instruction on riding safely." Step one: rent a bike from someplace else.

but the entire bike still look new and it only weight less then 8 pounds
See, the trouble there is you'd have to add eight pounds of ballast to conform to the UCI weight limit. A cinder block zap strapped to the seatpost should do the trick.
