Never seen a skiptooth chainring before. What's the point? Weight savings? Why not also add some drillium?

Back in the olden days, chains were "inch pitch". See here for an example:

Wow, instead of inner plates that a tooth can go between, it's solid in there! You learn something every day (and that's mine for today!)

Is this for low-friction in the drivetrain, or what..?

I guess they hadn't yet invented, or were not yet good at manufacturing, chains with a modern design of separate inner plates that a tooth could fit between.

Badger? Fox? It's all the same, right?

I saw the title and thought, "I'll forward this to my nephew Steve" (he's a Wisconsin grad). Then I looked:

Badger Bike Helmet ($20 OBO)

Sure looks like a fox to me...

Those 1" pitch chains look odd. Shifting could be problematic though, probably only good on 1 & 3 speeds, although the skip tooth sprockets might be ok with more modern chains. Perhaps they would shift better (and wear quicker).

You can see how he might have been confused. The fox head logo is for Fox motocross and bike products. www.foxhead.com

That's clearly an Amphi-Bike. Refraction bends the light rays as they enter the water, shifting the image to the right, and the color changes because the water obscuring the lower half of the bike absorbs longer wavelengths, giving the lower half of the image a bluish tint. There's your optics lesson for the day.

Nonsense. The top half of the bike is clearly faster than the bottom half and that's why it's farther ahead.

You may be right. Perhaps the top half is simply red shifted.

Nah... it is some cheap hybrid.
It is the bottom half that is blue shifted.
