Honestly I'm wondering how many people it would take to lift the counterweight, if you didn't have a forklift or something. 850 lb!

I could use some good magic wheels!!!

I'm surprised they didn't come with stainless spokes. But, they look like standard nipples, so they should be rebuildable. Might be worth $80 if the tires are really good. Otherwise, perhaps a bit less.

As far as the concrete, it looks like it would come apart in 8 pieces. I'm not quite sure what holds it in place, but 100 pound (or so) chunks should be manageable.

This one is especially whacky to me, because since i dont own a car, ive gone to buy bikes from craigslist on my bike and ghost ridden the other back. I would look sketchier than this guy in this part of town. I can already picture the type of person who poster this.

Yep, those $1000 when new Fuji bikes all had stamped dropouts and claw derailleurs.

For a mere $800, this beauty could be all yours. Someone please talk me out of it, I'm tempted to pull the trigger.

I love all the stuff the bike still needs to make it functional, despite the sky high price. Also where he mentions he would've done the work himself but doesnt have the time. That's probably for the best, since his understanding of pumps and cycling terms doesnt inspire a lot of confidence in his mechanical skills, lol.

Interesting story with this one.

Vintage Panasonic Japanese Timetrial 650c / 700c frame frameset NJS Fixedgear

Very nice vintage Panasonic time trial frameset.

Frame used to belong to Dutch professional rider Eddy Bouwmans. Winner of the white jersey for best young rider in de Tour de France of 1992.

This was his timetrial bike from his years at the Team Panosonic in the 1990 / 1992 period.

Later when he transferred to the Dutch Novell team he had it resprayed as a Colnago since that team was sponsored by Colnago.

That is $500 each, not for the pile.

Not sure if this is best suited for the Wacky thread or for the Are you Looking thread. Gig Harbor is also quite some distance north of here, so perhaps the SPAM thread.

Pictures seem to be stolen from here:
