With the fork backwards it's no wonder he didn't ride it very far. ROTFLMHO

vintage Raleigh Super Record 12 speed road bike - 21" frame | road | City of Toronto | Kijiji

I think the down tube is bent more than the fork is.

vintage Raleigh Super Record 12 speed road bike - 21" frame suits 5'4"-5'9" - new tire, chain, cables, brakes and bar tape - great ride!

It has all that new stuff on it - just needs a new frame-set too, and you're good to go.

Half off Budget Bicycle Center price, so surely it's a bargain!

Rare, vintage, made in America, Huffy road bike - $600 (Seward, MN)

Rare, vintage, made in America, Huffy road bike

DETAILS
You could be the proud owner of this vintage "Persian Sand" (champagne) Huffy Aerowind road bicycle. Made in Celina OH in the 1980s, this road bike is a 12 speed mens frame. The tubing is flattened in places to give an aerodynamic, streamlined feel to the frame. Huffy intended the Aerowind to be a fast road bike, a style change from the cruiser and mountain bike models Huffy had been selling immediately prior to 1980. This bicycle is looking for a new home, and it could be yours. I'm hoping to get half of its value but am moving across the country so am open to best offers.

CONDITION
Bicycle has minor scratches in paint as it is almost entirely original (no suede seat). It is being sold as is, please see photographs for details. I'm happy to provide more detailed pics upon request.

MEASUREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
Seat tube - 58cm
Top Tube - 58cm
Stand-over height (bike inseam)- 31 inches (79cm)
Bike Weight - 31 lbs.

Stem - 90mm
Handlebars - 40 cm
Brake levers - Shimano Adams AX
Brake calipers - Dia-Compe
Shifters - Shimano Adams AX
Front derailleur - Shimano Adams AX
Rear derailleur - Shimano Adams AX
Crank set - 50/40 Double Chain ring, Shimano Adams AX 170(Length in mm)
Pedals - Shimano Adams AX
Hubs - 36 hole laced to 27" Araya rims
Freewheel - 6 speed

I can deliver within 15 miles of downtown Minneapolis (if payment has been rendered) for an extra $25. Feel free to contact me with a request to deliver it farther than that

here is a very similar Aerowind being sold for $1200

I think I'll have to throw this into the mix.

Perhaps not a bad deal. But the seller could should look up a "how to photograph a bike" thread.

Along that line there is a guy down in pueblo that has been trying to sell a Coors branded single speed cruiser for a while now. Started out at $800. It's now down to $200 and he's been there for a while.

It's funny how the (often) uneducated public seems to think that any low quality item - bike, guitar, etc that has some corporate logo on it instantly becomes a valuable 'collector's item'. I'm guessing this has come about from idiots believing the first thing Google brings up and not actually researching anything.

Completely unrelated Craigslist story. Couple of months ago, I bicycled to the nearby shopping plaza and was approached by a gentleman asking about bikes. (All dialogue guaranteed authentic):

GUY: (Pointing to a nearby Cycle Loft store) "Do you think they have good bikes there?"
ME: "I think they have all kinds of bikes there. Depends on what you're looking for"
GUY: "I want the kind without all the gears. I don't want to spend too much"
ME: "You could try Craigslist. People sell their bikes cheap"
GUY: "What's Craigslist?"
ME: "It's online. People list stuff for sale. On the internet"
GUY: "Oh no. I don't do business that way"

Klein.jpg
00i0i_ln62pvImWAj_1200x900.jpg

Seller lists as a "Kline". Meaning "Klein"??? Except I can't find a Klein frame that is anywhere close. He also thought it was an aluminum frame when it is quite obviously steel.

But, check out the bars front brake, and rear derailleur cable routing.

I think it must have been used as a single speed, front brake, and rear derailleur (with trim feature).

Vintage Schwinn made in West Germany

https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/bik/5686181101.html

Vintage Schwinn 10 Speed Made in West Germany - $80

I don't know much about this bike. I picked it up about a decade ago when I saw it still had the sticker "made in W. German". It appears to be original paint. There is some rust. The rims are aluminium with a steel frame. The front deralier is there, but hasn't been hooked up since I got it. The back derailer works. There are a few holes in the frame, I wonder if they were for some lighting but can't guarantee. It rides and stops and both the tires hold air. The pedals have been replaced and are black plastic and the seat has also been replaced.

I doubt you will see another one like it.
