Agreed...Lance Armstrong doesn't mean what it used to either. Odd mishmash of accessories too. I'm trying to figure out that mirror.

I really cannot understand what's going on with the handlebars and stem. Brifters are apparently connected to nothing.

Doesn't matter if the brifters are connected to nothing, there's also no chain, so you would never need to brake or shift.

Bonus however, TWO FREE CHAINRINGS...

and that is one weird-a$$ fork to put on a road bike.

It looks like an aluminum frame with CF B-Stays.
Two handlebar stems?

Maybe try an offer for $100?

Adjusted so cyclist can keep an eye on his/her left patella whilst riding?

Vintage Schwinn 10 Speed Made in West Germany - $80

I don't know much about this bike. I picked it up about a decade ago when I saw it still had the sticker "made in W. German". It appears to be original paint. There is some rust. The rims are aluminium with a steel frame. The front deralier is there, but hasn't been hooked up since I got it. The back derailer works. There are a few holes in the frame, I wonder if they were for some lighting but can't guarantee. It rides and stops and both the tires hold air. The pedals have been replaced and are black plastic and the seat has also been replaced.

I doubt you will see another one like it.

Especially if Lance finds out you aren't following the program and you might have been talking to the press

The only reason I became familiar with the company was that we had a couple of "ID this mystery bike" type threads in last two years or so which turned out to be from this maker.

In the U.S. they are typically only seen in what was formerly called "The German Triangle", i.e where German immigrants of the 19th century tended to settle.

They are one of those marques with a subtitle/slogan. Just as Sekine likes to refer to itself as "The World's Finest Bicycle" Kalkhoff calls itself "The Red Dot Bicycle."

Here is a ~1972 example in all its glory which has been on U.S. ebay for some time:

Amazing GERMAN1960 1970's Kalkhoff Super Sport 10 Speed Racer Bike Like Schwinn | eBay

Ran across this Kalkhoff in a 1970's era German mailorder clothing catalogue the other day:

!!!!! Good deal cheap titanium frame lightweight 25 speed - $290 (Se Salem)

#1 Obviously not titanium, probably says somewhere on the frame if the seller looked.
#2 Obviously not a 25 speed because thats not a thing.
#3 Over priced.
#4 Hobo bars.

Correction, 1 pic of the handlebars, and 1 pic of the yard, including the seat and the top of the rear wheel. The yard pic is presented 4 times vs the handlebars only 2, because wheels are twice as important as handlebars.

Besides, cut him some slack, it's tough to take a steady picture when you're saling on a boat.

Aluminum is practically the same as titanium, because, um.

It's a fourteen speed. Maybe he added an 11 speed, yeah, that's the ticket.

Overpriced? That's only $41 more than the clearance price for this rare classic

Caveat Emptor, indeed.

You must not have read my post about my 5 x 5 project. It's about the only thing you can do with a rear 120 mm OLD.

I have noticed that I am getting a bit bow-legged on my right side.

Only $10!

Local CL ad, it's nice to see they put so much effort into getting a good picture. They'd have to pay me $10 just to dig them out. At least the description is correct, they HAVE seen better days.

"We have 2 old bicycles that have seen better days, but could be used for parts."

I love the description: "Beautifully refurbished....Seat, tape, brakes, chain, and tires were replaced 4 years ago."
Wow, just 4 years ago.
