Its made of "Reynolds Aluminum". The seller writes, "priced to sell this week at $1550 as part of an estate otherwise it goes to auction at twice the price." Could see $3100 at auction, hmmm.

Rare Pro Racing Peugeot PX10

As noted, the text of this ad is priceless. I want some of those 'supper' pedals.

Take a good look at the photo. I've never seen a chain sagging upwards. Then I noticed that pulls on the seat pack are also hanging in the wrong direction, and realized they hadn't even bothered to take it down for the hooks where it was hanging when they took the photos.

I'm going to add this one for quality photo contender.

Giant 29 inch - $50

Needs brake cables and 4 spokes on front rim bent slime tubes and good tires
So... if it has wheels & tires, where are they?
Chain?
Seat?
And that looks more like a 26" than 29" bike.

Estate sales are hired to sell everything from bikes to silverware. They look at eBay and see some unrealistically priced bike with the same name, that some guy has been relisting for a year and that's what it's worth to them. I answered a CL ad for bikes once and came home with a cheap Puch with steel wheels and stem shifters (the bike that was listed for sale at 30.00), for free a beautiful Puch 531, Shimano 600 Arab w/Brooks Pro (that was covered in something that washed right off) that appalled these old ladies selling figurines, and a Schwinn Le Tour Lux they threw in for 20.00 at the last second just to make it go away. Generally though, I expect with estate sales that they will want too much for a bike.

Maybe this should go into the other topic... It does look nice. But there are a few things that makes it lean a bit Wacky.

For sale amazingly clean and original High quality Japanese lugged steel road bike. One of the most pristine bikes I've ever come across, and probably the most I've ever spent on a bike. I actually bought this one for myself but it was advertised as a 57cm and when I saw it in person realized it was bigger, but still couldn't leave without it. It has obviously been stored indoors and hardly riden for the past 30 years. still has original leather straps on the toe clips. Built with Tange Champion 2 steel tubing the best they had at the time and hasn't been improved on much since. I like to think this bike was built by retired samurais. Although it wasn't nessisary the bike got new brake and shifter cables and housing, new bar tape, all bearings have been replaced and greased in the bottom bracket, headset, and wheels. Bike has been totally overhauled and tuned. Wheels trued and it rides perfectly. Will fit a rider from 6'-6'5" Asking 325.00 and its worth every penny. If you are looking for a bike this size, Do not miss out. There is not another one online for sale, and definetly not in this condition. Risk free purchase I guaranty any bike I sell and offer one free tune up antime you need it. Call or text Adam with any questions. Thanks

Frame.. Tange Champion 2 double butted seamless cro-moly tubing.

Fork... Tange 2 mangaloy mangenese alloy.

Wheels.. Araya 700c

Brakes.. shimano SLR sidepull.

Crank set.. Shimano Biopace w/ eliptical chain rings. (designed to be much easier on your knees)

Derailleurs.. Shimano light action

Weight.. roughly 15 pounds

Stand over height.. 33"

Top tube.. 22 1/2''
"I like to think this bike was built by retired samurais."
"Weight.. roughly 15 pounds"

I'd like to get his bike scale :)

What do you guys think? Is this worth anything?

Peugeot 1977 UO10 Road Bike 56 cm

I'm thinking about picking it up, but not sure of it's value.

Thanks.

It looks very clean.

I think it is worth about the asking price of $160.
Basic High-Tensile steel Peugeot. Steel rims.

Nothing fancy, but it should make a decent city bike.

A decent bike that looks to be in great shape. The RD appears to be a Super LJ, which I think would be an upgrade from the original. I'd buy it at $160.

Here's an '83 carbolite peugeot super sport I got for $25 on Cl. It had been sitting in
a garage for years. It had a touch of surface rust that came right off. It needed a little air,
but shifted perfect as found.

wheelset with wide flange Normandy hubs, $40.

I don't think it's a UO10. The ones I assembled had alloy rims. Also, this one has rack tabs and a generator tab on the rear stay, so this one is likely a fendered-and-racked model (probably with full gen/light set) that had that stuff removed. It does look very clean so that is probably a fair price, but buy it for what it is and not for what the seller claims it is.

The wrong brake and lousy cable routing aside, why are you posting a bike for sale in this thread?

BIANCHI EROS VINTAGE.

I did that with an A-D Inter 10 (531) frame. The seat tube had been damaged in a Park stand and I spread the rear stays by a couple of inches, then shoved a chunk of wood far up between the chainstays and then closed up the dropouts around it. Could then fit a 26x2.125 rear wheel, and I built the bike around it.

It's not for sale, & in fact it is my second favorite bike.
The dollar amounts shown are the prices I paid for each of my bikes! And yes, it is the wrong brake &
lousy cable routing, but, you know, it works pretty darn good. I built it to ride, not to impress snobs.
