Daily Double!

Bianchi Eros! Vintage! Made in Italy! Rare 1993! - $250 (Huntersville)

"Bike is in excellent condition, full shimano RX100.All parts are originale, originale tires!Text only please!"

https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik/6069035249.html

(Not "Made in Italy" and not "Rare".)

By the same poster, Gene, with the same phone number:

TREK 420 Reynolds 531 Vintage 1989 USA like new! - $120 (Huntersville)

"Bike is in excellent collect condition, originale tires and Avocet saddle!Text only please 7049044202."

https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik/6069048393.html

(Reasonable price for a nice bike in fine condition, and if it was my size I'd be negotiating a price reduction because it isn't "Reynolds 531"...)

(Stuff I cut and pasted here and either didn't edit out originally or I have idea why it was there...)

This is a big, double butted crumbly frame with Suntour components, alloy rims, and all weather Specialized tires. Freshly tuned-up.
If the eggs can be ordered as you wish and the coffee is steamin' and a good mornin' wakeup with a bottomless cup.

At least the tires aren't cammo painted

I suppose it is better to do that to an American Classic than to do it to a European classic

Not particularly wacky, I just thought this was an odd arrangement of words:

Can I catch that much air if I buy the bike and take up mountain biking? Don't come down hard on the seat?

If your jump landing technique involves the seat in any way, you are probably doing it wrong

I first thought of some mullet-head spray-painting that bike under the roof of his car port with Molly Hatchet blaring in the background... then I noticed the seller is in Puerto Rico. Now I'm confused

I have a Redline bmx that I don't ride anymore. I believe it's a 2002 model. Has 2 piece cranks. New pedals, grips, has flat free tubes as well. Only needs 2 bolts for the crank. Pick up only and text or email only. Thank you

I'd never seen one of these, I thought it was kind of cool.

Vintage 1998 Huffy Catalyst Carbon Fiber BMX Bike Frame Red Rare | eBay

I'm on a BMX kick today because I'm thinking I want something to bop around the driveway with my kids.

For a short time in the late 1990's Huffy made some high end competition BMX bikes.

Now, that is wild.

You need to spoil your kids early. Get them riding Carbon Fiber at age 5.

You should remove "HUFFY", and give it some exotic Italian name

Force your 5 yr old to ride aluminum or steel, and it should be considered child abuse.

This one isn't so much an ad as the responses to my ad. I have a bike on the local CL. Last week a guy contacted me and said I am 4'9"; will this bike fit me? It's a smallish mtb so I wrote back 'maybe; I can help you sort it out, you might need a different stem, etc.'
Yesterday the same guy contacted me, says he is 5'10" and the bike will be perfect.
I assume he is going to try to scam me, but I haven't seen this particular route before.

Not vintage, but another odd price. If I'm reading Bikepedia correctly this was sold originally in 2008 for $535. How did he come up with $700?

Jamis Allegro 1.0 - $700
